Social Innovation - Makeathon was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesha S Principal; Dr. Prashanth Rao, Head of Mathematics Dept; Dr. Jyothi Serrao, Head of Physics Dept; Dr. Savitha, Head of Chemistry Dept and Dr. Pushpalatha, Head of Computer Science & Engineering Dept. Mr. Gautham Nayak, COO, Technical Career Education (TCE), summarized the program and motivated the students to utilize the opportunity to build their ideas into reality. Principal, through his words of knowledge and wisdom, motivated the students to be community problem solvers. Followed by the Inaugural, the students had sessions on introduction to various tools for prototyping such as - Hands-On session on Design Thinking by Mr. Gautham Nayak and Arduino by Ms. Saksha Bhandhary.

Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt – 2021

The 8th edition of Sahyadri Science Talent Hunt, has kick-started with the vision of building entrepreneurial mindset among the students at an early age. The program aims to sensitize young minds towards community problems, encouraging them to be problem solvers. SSTH 2021 has targeted to create awareness among 10,000 students across 100 institutions among 10 districts of Karnataka. Top 200 teams shortlisted for the Grand finale shall be mentored by the launchpads and experts with 100 projects getting funding support. The SSTH outreach team has conducted 30+ ideation sessions by creating awareness among 1500+ students across Mangalore Region.
