Happy Ayudha Pooja

Ayudha Pooja is celebrated on the Ninth Day of Dasara festival. This day is also called as “Astra Puja”, which means “Worship of Instruments”. The celebration on this day mainly focuses on one’s profession and its related tools. On this auspicious occasion, people worship goddesses Sakthi, Saraswati, Lakshmi, and Parvathi. On this day, soldiers worship weapons and artisans worship their tools to perform well and get rewards for their work.
Ayudha Puja is the day we honor and express gratitude for all the instruments that add meaning to our life. It takes into consideration small things like pins, knives, scissors, and spanners as well as large devices such as computers, machinery, cars, and buses. It is a time for doing just that – recognizing and honoring the utility of things in our life. On this day, all instruments - big and small - are cleaned and worshipped. The small and medium-sized things are placed on a pedestal and decorated with flowers. Vermillion is also applied to them as a part of the worship ritual.
In Karnataka, celebrations on Ayudha Puja commemorate the slaying of the demon king Mahishasura by Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Parvati Devi.

Dept. of CSE organized Orientation Programme on "Sahyadri Examination Process" for Second year CSE, AI-ML & Data Science students

On 13th Oct' 2021 Dept.of Computer Science & Engineering organized an Orientation Programme on "Sahyadri Examination Process" for Second year CSE, AI-ML, & Data Science students. Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head of Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering introduced the Resource person to the students. The Resource Person Prof. Vaishak N L, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering & COE, in his talk, emphasized on the Scheme of Study, Continuous Internal Evaluation, Semester End Examination, SGPA & CGPA, Grading and Result announcement. He also stressed on Collection of grade cards, Revaluation , Backlog, Malpractice during Examination and importance of Attendance from examination point of view.
