Bridge Course 2021 for Engineering Aspirants – Batch 2

Day One (18th Oct’21)

The second batch of Bridge Course 2021 for the freshers, conducted by Technical Career Education commenced on 18th Oct’21 and will go on for 10 days. Bridge course, kick started with an introductory session by Mr. Prajwal Shetty where the students introduced themselves. This was followed with a fun-filled interaction where students got involved in various ice-breaker sessions, helping them understand each other better and make them feel at home within the campus. From team formation, to participating in various team-building activities, the students had an amazing experience throughout the day. Further, the second half of the day was spent on visiting the various departments and centres of excellence in the campus getting them inspired and making them aware of the various spaces present within the premises. Finally, the day concluded with an activity on storyboard creation, encouraging students to showcase their teams in a creative way. Overall, the first day helped the students in getting to know each other and better understand life at Sahyadri.

ECE Faculty recognized for the contribution as Reviewer at IEEE PES/IAS Power Africa Conference

Chandra_Singh Prof. Chandra Singh, Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering has received a Certificate of Appreciation for reviewing the papers of The Eighth Annual IEEE PES/IAS Power Africa Conference (PAC 2021) held during August 23rd to August 27, 2021.


National Level Cyber Quiz-Cyber Patriot by ISEA, Govt. of India

Ananth_Prabhu Project Cyber Safe Girl in association with Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA), a programme by Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Govt. of India (GoI) has launched an online Quiz "Cyber Patriot" to create awareness about Cyber Security.
All participants who secure more than 50% marks in the quiz are eligible for "Certificate of Cyber Patriot". The quiz consists of 30 questions to be answered about general cyber security and responsible browsing. The main intent of this initiative is to assimilate the importance of "Cyber Safety and Security Best Practices" among the citizens of India.
As India is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and October being National Cyber Security Awareness Month, this project aims to reach out to at least 1 million Indians and spread the awareness message.
Since the pandemic, the daily activities of many people occur at home. People connect to the Internet for work, school, shopping, entertainment, and doctor visits. Concurrently, cybercrime has surged worldwide. Therefore, it is important for everyone using the internet and digital devices to know about the Cyber Safety and Cyber Laws of India.
Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in the Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator of the VGST funded Sahyadri CoE for Digital Forensics and Cyber Security with the assistance of interns at the CoE co-developed this project along with ISEA.
