In commemoration of Teachers Day, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan's Birth Anniversary was observed by the faculty in the campus on September 5th, 2021. The Principal and the staff paid their respects to the former President and an excellent teacher.
NEXA - Mandovi Motors Team celebrated Teachers Day at Sahyadri
A Team of executives from NEXA - Mandovi Motors, Mangaluru visited Sahyadri to celebrate Teachers Day. The Team presented a sapling to Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning, who received it on behalf of all faculty members. Faculty appreciated the kind gesture of NEXA and celebrated the day by cutting the cake along with the team.

Dr. Prabhu addresses the CIO's of India
Dr. Ananth Prabhu G, Professor in Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering and Principal Investigator of the Digital Forensics and Cyber Security CoE at Sahyadri was invited by the CIO Klub to address the CIO's on "New Gen Cyber Crimes and the Precautions to be taken". Dr. Prabhu spoke about the Gen V attacks, also known as a 5th generation cyber-attacks, which is a large scale, multi-vector attack vetor that is designed to infect multiple components of an information technology infrastructure, including networks, virtual machines, cloud instances and endpoint devices. He also explained the mechanism of Pegasus and Paragon spyware attacks and invited the CIOs to visit the CoE at Sahyadri.
He threw light on Precautionary measures such as microsegmentation, intelligent application delivery controls, next-generation firewalls (NGFWs) with advanced functions including application awareness and the ability to use external threat intelligence feeds that provide security engineers with a live data stream related to potential or current threats. Founded in 2008, CIO Klub is the largest non-profit association of Chief Information Officers in India with a mission to share and enhance Knowledge on technological advancement and Explore Better Business Solutions for the IT community across the world. There are 1800+ members in the CIO Klub, with presence in India's most strategic cities (Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai and Coimbatore).

Prof. Shailesh Shetty S, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering has been nominated for Best Teacher Award from Global TV in association with the ultimate mentors, New Delhi. There were many nominations across different states of India and few Arab countries. He stood among Top 20 and won an award in a category of Question and Answer section.
