Guest Talk on “MBA and beyond the success factors”
Dr. R. Jagadeesh, Dean - Academics & Professor, SDMIMD, Mysore addressed the 1st year MBA students on the topic “MBA and beyond the success factors”. In his session, he urged the students to think differently from several angles & capture situations from various perspectives. He also re-iterated to grab opportunities when it knocks the door as it knocks only once hence the best day to start any work is today and the best time is now. He emphasised on the importance of creativity and innovation which is largely demanded in the current business scenario, however it is easier said than done to be innovative. To inculcate creativity, one should look at the nature and note down the things that they see and think creatively beyond the limits. He mentioned that as students it is important to balance risk and reward.
His talk was focussed on the critical success factors -Knowledge, Skills & Attitude. He concluded the session inspiring students to develop the right attitude which shall pave the way to success.
