Dreamathon 2019 held at Sahyadri

Dreamathon - Mangalore’s largest coding Hackathon was initiated by DSI- Dream Soft Innovations in association with Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, in collaboration with NAIN, Government of Karnataka, Dtlabz, and Host Zyro. It visualized events such as Code Hunt, Hackathon, Dreamathon and Gamethon, where the technocrats were provided with a wonderful opportunity to explore their ideas, their thoughts to the real world within the time limit of 30 hours. It became the platform for the enthusiasts to expel their knowledge and their craziness towards coding. The encouraging minds who supported this event were Mr. Pradeep Raj, Operations Manager at CEOL Mangaluru; Mr. Rajesh Naidu from Aptra Technologies Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Akshay, Founder of Pixgrammer; Mr. Sathyaraj, Technical Art Director at Ironjaw Studios Pvt. Ltd; Mr. Prince, CEO & Co-Founder at My Road Runner; Mr. Naresh Bhat, Founder of Host Zyro and Prof. Prashanth Duddela.

The winners of the various categories were announced and the cash prizes were handed over by the guests alongside Mr. Sachin Ganesh and Ms. Divya, Co-founders of DSI.

Summer Camp 2019 by DTlabz in Sahyadri Campus

Summer Camp 2019 by DTlabz began at Sahyadri with a bunch of young talented kids of the age group between 10 -16 years from various schools in and around Mangaluru with the quest to discover new insights about technical knowledge.

The camp started with a session from Mr. Gautham Nayak briefing the students about the camp with the theme of knowing oneself and team building activities followed by a glimpse of fun with electronics session by Gagandeep. The entire day was filled with fun and learning as the teams opened the door to make new friends.

Second day of Summer Camp 2019 began with new friends coming together with enthusiasm. The day started with action song and games as a warm up exercise followed by the design thinking activity wherein children were asked to make an innovative bag which fulfills the needs of the customer to bring out the true potential of their creative thinking. Presentation of their creativity in front the crowd focused on enhancing their confidence. Working on tinker cad and dream kit brought new experiences to the young brains.

Stock Market Awareness Programme for MBAs organized by Sahyadri Capital Advisors LLP

With the establishment of the very first start-up of MBA - ‘Sahyadri Capital Advisors LLP’, a stock market awareness programme was organized for the MBAs. Prof. Ramesh K.G, Dean-Strategic Planning facilitated the session. Students & faculty members of MBA department participated in the programme. The response from the participants was overwhelming with Questions being asked and their doubts being clarified by the resource person. The company has already started receiving applications to open their DMAT accounts.

Mr. Girish Madla is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration. His area of expertise is in Marketing and Strategy. He has a teaching experience of more than 18 years having worked as Assistant Director at OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education, Bengaluru. He has received the Service Award from OHIO University, USA for his contribution to OHIO MBA programme in India. • Ashritha Pai hails from Udupi. She pursued her PUC from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hyderabad and graduation from Poorna Prajna College, Udupi. She is interested in travelling and aspires to become an auditor in a Big 4 company. She is placed in KPMG-GDC through campus recruitment.
• Ahmed Zainnuddin hails from Puttur, Mangaluru. He completed PUC and degree from St. Philomena College, Puttur. His hobbies are travelling while he himself drives. His aspiration is to become an entrepreneur.

Pratian Technologies to conduct Online Assessment & Recruitment Drive
