Sahyadrians Qualify for State Level Debate Competition
 A team comprising of Karthik Ramakrishnan, Semester V and Veer Jain, Semester VII, Mechanical Engineering, participated in the Bangalore Zonal Competition of Verbattle Senior ’14 and are qualified for the state level debate competition to be held in Bangalore in the third week of August. A total of six teams of the college participated in the Mangalore and Bangalore zonal competition and all have been selected for the state level competition.
Out of forty teams from various colleges in and around the Bangalore region competing in the zonal competition, Karthik Ramakrishnan and Veer Jain topped the zonal competition.

Mr. Harish Parameswaran, Director - HR, heading Strategic HR Programs for UST Global, will address the Semester VII Engineering students of all branches in the Seminar Hall, ground floor, from 12.30 P.M. to 1:30 P.M.
Mr. Parameswaran graduated in Business Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University. He also earned a Post-Graduate degree in Mass Communication and Journalism from University of Kerala and a Diploma, from Asian Institute of Technology – Bangkok, in Planning and Resource Mobilization for Rural Development.
Having started his career, as a Development Communication Specialist, working for the Government of Netherlands and later for the Government of Denmark, Harish has served different bilateral as well as multilateral agencies including UNICEF and UNDP, for nearly 15 years.
Mr. Parameswaran made a career shift in 1999 to become one of the first 14 employees of UST Global, headquartered in California, USA. He was instrumental in building up what is today the largest private employer in Kerala with more than 14,000 employees. UST Global, has operations in USA, Mexico, Brazil, Europe, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines besides India with Centers in Trivandrum, Kochi, Chennai, Bangalore and Gurgaon.
