 One-day Workshop Series on ISRO Satellite Remote Sensing Based Societal Applications on Web will be conducted by Professor C. J. Jagadeesha, Scientist, ISRO- NRSC- RRSC, Bangalor in the Ground floor seminar hall. The workshop will cover topics from geo-informatics; Meteorological & Oceanographic Satellite Data Archival, Integrated water resource management, national database for emergency management, Bhuvan panchayat website demonstration.
Professor C. J. Jagadeesha worked in digital analysis of satellite data for reservoir capacity evaluation, irrigated area crop type identification in command areas, ground water quality assessments, minor irrigation tank studies using Indian Remote Sensing Satellite data like IRS-1B, 1C etc. His current interests are in operationalising the techniques already developed and developing new techniques from new sensors data like RISAT-1(InSAR), Resourcesat, Cartosat 1-2 Stereopairs and GPS, GIS for natural resources management, human resources development and training in remote sensing applications area.
• The inaugural function of the student association - CLOUDS, of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will be held in the Netravati Auditorium at 09:30 A.M.
