Manager at HDFC Ltd, Bengaluru interacts with the students Ms. Shivani Rai, an alumna of Sahyadri MBA (Batch 2016-18) placed at HDFC Ltd, Bengaluru through Campus was at Sahyadri on 19th Aug’19 to meet her faculty and also share experiences with her juniors. Shivani was recruited as a Management Trainee a year ago and now HDFC Ltd has skipped two levels of promotion and has made her the Assistant Manager directly for her consistent and top-class performance.
While addressing the students, Shivani expressed how indebted she was to the institution for placing her in a renowned organization which recruited candidates from Premier institutions only in the past. She conveyed that as an alumna of Sahyadri she always had an upper hand in terms of executing her task as she was already trained to be a ready fitment during her course of study at Sahyadri. She gave inputs to the department on further enhancing the student’s capabilities by providing Certification Training on Email Etiquettes and Communication (Voice Modulation). Being an MBA in HR, she was able to fair well in a financial organization as she had an empathetic approach to the Banking customers which she nurtured during her course of study at Sahyadri.

Sahyadri Chess Team secures places in VTU Chess Tournament Sahyadri Girls Chess team won fourth place and Boys team won eighth place in VTU Rest of Bengaluru Zone Chess Tournament held at SJMIT, Chithradurga during 18th to 19th Aug’19. Sahyadri Girls team has now qualified for the VTU inter-zone Chess Tournament to be held at SJMIT, Chithradurga during 20th to 21st Aug’19.

Alumnus of Electronics & Communication Engineering interacts with studentsAlumnus of Electronics & Communication Engineering interacts with students Mr. Keerthan Nayak, an alumnus of Department of Electronics & Communications Engineering currently working as Associate Engineer-Testing in SLK Software Services Pvt Ltd interacted with the second year Electronics & Communications Engineering students and discussed the various opportunities in electronics domain. He shared his experience about his interview process, nature of work he does and the opportunities available in PSU’s. He stressed on pursuing higher studies in abroad or in any prestigious institution of India. IoT, embedded system and VLSI are the key domains in which a person must be specialized in order to get into any Electronics & Communications domain company. Also, he stressed on getting certified in programming languages such as Python. He also advised to maintain good aggregate so that they can get placed before completing their engineering. The students asked a number of questions and got clarity on their doubts from this interaction.

Faculty recited a Poem at the Independence Day Cultural Programme at Town Hall, Mangaluru Prof. Akshaya Shetty, Dept. of Humanities recited her own poem, in the Independence Day Cultural Programme held at Town Hall, Mangaluru.
South Canara District Kannada Sahitya Parishath, Education Department & Kannada – Sanskriti Ilaakhe of South Canara District, had jointly organized this event of 73rd Independence Day Cultural Programme on 15th Aug’19. Dr. Vasanth Kumar Perla, retired officer at AIR, Mangaluru, inaugurated the programme and Mr. S. Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, President, South Canara District Kannada Saahitya Parishath, was the President of this Independence Day Cultural Programme.
Prof. Akshaya Shetty, recited a poem named as “Manada Majalugalu”, related to the feelings and thoughts of a Soldier’s wife. This is continuously the 3rd year, wherein Akshaya Shetty’s poem has been selected to this prestigious Cultural Programme.
