Tomorrow at Sahyadri

    Further to the recently held off campus online test held by TCS for the graduated students of the 2015 batch, the HR team of TCS is visiting Sahyadri for an off campus recruitment drive for the students of the same batch.

   Sanjeev Baitmangalkar, Strategy & Lean Management, Principal Consultant, Stratmann Consulting, Bengaluru, will be visiting the campus and addressing the MBA students at 12 noon.

Sanjeev Baitmangalkar has forty years of Core Competence in Strategy & Management, Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Marketing, BPR & Turnarounds, Product Development, Machine Tools etc. Presently, he is a Consultant implementing the Lean Manufacturing System at various companies. He was VP & SBU Head @ Mysore Kirloskar, Director & CEO @ Texmaco in South East Asia and Managing Director of Roots Multiclean Ltd (A JV between Roots Group and Hako Werke Germany).

Another Feather in the Cap: Sahyadri named Engineering College of the Year 2015 for Value Addition

Higher Education Review in its December 2015 issue has named Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management as the Engineering College of the Year 2015 for its Value Addition for the positive impact that the institue has made on the society and the education fraternity. This is another feather in the cap for the college.

Higher Education Review’s Engineering Colleges of the Year 2015; a yearly listing that has been showcasing since their inception lists Engineering institutes that have been relentlessly striving to improve their services. An expert team consisting of top HR managers and educators, evaluated hundred of nominations they received to come up with a comprehensive set of engineering colleges in the country that have performed well in parameters such as infrastructure, faculty, industry interaction, innovative programmes, research and placements.

Faculty Member Presents Work in Nano-Bio-Med-2015 at IIT Bombay

Dr. Niraj Joshi, Associate Professor, CENT, KGRC presented his work titled “Room Temperature Ethanol Sensing Properties of BiFeO3 Thin films Grown by PLD” at the third conference on Nanotechnology for Biological and Biomedical Applications (Third Nano-Bio-Med 2015) held at IIT, Bombay. Prof. Richard Pinto, Director CENT, Miss Madhuri Patel, Prof. Ruchira Jadhav from K. J. Somaiya College, Mumbai and Miss Cijy Mathai, IITB, Powai are the other authors in the paper.

The conference was arranged in cooperation with the Office of External Affairs, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Italy. ICTP is a highly reputed Centre founded in 1964 by Dr. Abdus Salam (Nobel Laureate). The conference was the sequel of two earlier conferences which were held at ICTP, Trieste, Italy. The conference topic was new developments, investigations and applications of Nanotechnology for Biomedicine and Agriculture related topics. The conference was attended by many internationally and nationally reputed scientists.
