Faculty Members Visit Asea Brown Boveri Global Industries Limited
Prof. Sudheer Shetty, HoD and Dr. Sarvesh Vishwakarma, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering visited ABB Global Industries and Services Limited, Bengaluru, for the viva-voce on internship of Mrs. Prajna Udupa (M.Tech. III Semester Student, CSE, SCEM, Mangaluru; Project Title: Designing and Developing AML Converter for Input Output Scanner to Enable Efficient Engineering of Real Field Devices in Process Automation).
ABB (ASEA Brown Boveri), is a multinational corporation with its headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland. It was founded in the year 1988 after merging ASEA (1883) , a General Swedish Electric Company and Brown, Boveri and Cie (1891) , a Swiss group of electrical engineering companies. It is a publicly traded limited company being a global leader in the areas of robotics and power and automation technology. 'Power and productivity for a better world' is the motto of the organization.

Having operations in around 100 countries with employee strength of 140,000, it is one of the largest conglomerates in the world.
They interacted with Mr. Arun Babu, Group Manager and Mr. Manoj Parashuram, Technical Specialist of the company and explored the opportunities for internship program for M.Tech/B.E. students. A memento was presented to Mr. Arun Babu for their effort and support in facilitating internships for our students.
Faculty Member Invited As Judge
Mr Naveen Pilar from the Department of Art and Culture was invited as the judge for the cultural competition at the District level Youth fest held at Udupi.
