Two Sahyadrians recruited by Kambala Solutions

Prathibha K & Poornima SV from the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering were recruited by Kambala Solutions in the recently held campus drive for the 2017 passed out batch.

Best Paper Presentation Award won at the International Conference

Best Paper Presentation Award won at the International Conference Ms. Swathi Rai participated in the 3rd International Conference on Humanities & Social Science organised by Global Academic Research Institute, Sri Lanka in Chennai. She presented a paper on "Empowerment of Asian Women as envisaged by Sister Nivedita" and won the best paper presentation Award.

Manoj U, a first semester Information Science & Engineering student is a Handball player & a Karate champion. He has secured 1st place in Handball Tournament in the year 2016 at State Level. He has also participated in SGFI (School Game Federation of India) Handball Tournament in the year 2017 held at Delhi. He has also won 2nd prize in Karate Championship in the year 2015.

Guest talk on “Opportunities for Grant-in-Aid in DST” for faculty

Opportunities for Grant-in-Aid in DST  Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Varshney, Scientist 'G' /Advisor, Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of India visited the campus & appreciated the efforts of the management on the Hands on Lab and the value added courses with Internship offering and the start up companies located in the campus. He specifically applauded the efforts of first year students taking up social innovation projects. He addressed the faculty on the “Opportunities for Grant-in-Aid in DST”, detailed out on various avenues available for faculty and the institute from DAE, DOS, DRDO, DBT, DSIR, MEITY, MOES, CSIR. He also spelt the role of DST in popularization of Science & Technology. He also briefed about the following fellowship programmes

MBAs attend NHRD Showcase in Bengaluru

MBAs attend NHRD Showcase in Bengaluru Aditya Rao, Nehal Sheth, Fiola DSouza, Sanmathi Jain, Jackson, Kalpitha Acharya, Nageshwara Pai & Ninad Joshi - students of first year MBA attended the NHRD showcase held in Bengaluru. Students participated in various sessions facilitated by renowned HR practitioners.

The NHRD Showcase also consists of stalls by different organizations where they compete for awards in different categories for the innovative HR practices in their organizations. Students interacted with HR practitioners in these stalls and understood the different practices of HR followed in different organizations and also networked with HR professionals.

The NHRD HR Showcase is a signature event of the NHRD Bengaluru Chapter and is shaped to bolster the enduring spirit of the HR practices. The Showcase is a platform to present HR excellence, spanning a range of unique sensibilities, from an intellectual re-imagining of concepts and cultures to an intuitive adaptability for significant business impact.

Mangalore City Corporation Scholarship
Grant-in-aid to SC/ST students for the purchase of Desktop/Laptop under 24.10% fund scheme Criteria: Parent annual family income should be below Rs. 2,50,000/-.

Should be the resident of Mangalore City Corporation.

Students who have applied under Social Welfare Department scholarship are not eligible.

Eligible students may submit copies of marks card, caste certificate, income certificate & ration card in 2 sets to the scholarship section on or before 12th December 2017.
