Sahyadrian recruited by AURIGO Software Technologies Inc. Bengaluru

Mr. Deshik Bharadwaj from the Department of Information Science & Engineering from 2018 passed out batch was recruited by AURIGO Software Technologies Inc. for the position of 'Quality Engineer' with a package of Rs. 5.5 Lakhs per annum in the recently held Off-Campus Drive in Bengaluru.

Aurigo is a global software company that provides cloud based capital program and project portfolio management software solutions for large capital infrastructure owners in the public and private sector industries.

Faculty Members of ISE Dept attend a Five-Day FDP on Computational Intelligence & Statistical Based Data Analytics

Prof. Ganaraj K, Prof. Asha B Shetty and Prof. Madhura N Hegde from the Department of Information Science & Engineering attended a Five-Day Continuing Education Programme on Computational Intelligence and Statistical Based Data Analytics held at NITK Surathkal. As a learning outcome the Training programme has helped in understanding Data Analytics and its applications in Engineering and Business Management. The programme included different sessions handled by Prof. Ganapati Panda, Ex. Deputy Director IIT Bhubaneshwar; Prof. Tapan Gandhi, IIT Delhi and Dr. T Rahul, Senior Data Analytics. This programme also included hands-on sessions on MATLAB and R-Programming.

Faculty recited poem at ‘Ratnosava-2018’ - Literature and Cultural fest

Prof. Akshaya Shetty, Dept of Kannada recited her own poem in the programme called ‘kavi-kaavya-gaayana-kuncha’ in ‘Ratnotsava-2018’ held at Vidyaratna English Medium School, Green Ground, Deralakatte. After her recitation same poem was sung by the singer Ms. Malini Prasad along with art drawn by artist Mr. Muralidhar Achar which was related to her poem. Na D’Souza, famous writer was the President of this cultural festival which was inaugurated by Dharmadarshi Harikrishna Punarooru.

Faculty from the Dept of ISE receives NPTEL Elite Certificate

Prof. Prakhyath Rai, Dept. of Information Science & Engineering has been the topper and has achieved ELITE Certificate in two courses with a consolidated score of 79% in the course “Introduction to Programming in C” and 80% in the course “Problem Solving through Programming in C” through NPTEL Online Certification (Funded by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India).
“Introduction to Programming in C” was an 8-Week course through IIT, Kharagpur and “Problem Solving through Programming in C” was a 12-Week course through IIT, Kanpur.

• Ashwitha is from Puttur. She studied her 10th Std. at Government Pre-University College, Puttur and did her PUC from Ambika Padavi Poorva Vidhyalaya, Puttur. Her hobbies are Drawing, Reading Novels and Travelling. She is a District Level Table Tennis player. She aspires to be a successful engineer and serve the society.
• Joanna Tresa Correa is from Mangaluru. She did her schooling from St. Theresa’s School, Mangaluru and PUC from St. Aloysious Pre-University College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are Singing, Anchoring, Narrating and Playing Musical Instrument. She has won prizes in Public Speaking and Table Tennis. • Mahammad Hussain is from Bantwal. He studied his 10th Std. at Thouheed English Meduim School, Bantwal and PUC from Carmel Pre- University College, Madankap. His hobbies are Reading Story, Listening to music and Reading books. He aspires to be a successful IT engineer.
• Rachitha Rai is from Mangaluru. She completed her 10th Std. from Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include Drawing, Listening to Music and Classical Dance. She aspires to be a professional web developer.
• Sham Prakash K is from Paivalike. He pursued his 10th Std. from Govt. High School, Paivalike and PUC from Dr. NSAM PU College, Nantoor. He is interested in Playing Cricket, Watching TV, Learning new things and Drama. He has achieved 3rd place in District Level Drama Competition, Cleared NMMS exam and secured 3rd place in District Level Maths Quiz Competition. He aspires to become an entrepreneur.
• Yashaswi C Shetty is from Kasargod. She completed her 10th Std. from Canara Girls High School, Mangaluru and PUC from Canara PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include Playing Basket Ball, Listening to music, Reading Novel and Dancing. Her aspiration is to work for a reputed MNC.
