Sahyadrians participate in Karavali Utsava Inaugural ProcessionSahyadrians participate in Karavali Utsava Inaugural Procession Sahyadri had the honour of participating in the grand Karavali Utsava Procession. Students of First Year Engineering and Management (MBA) took part in the procession wearing costumes depicting the traditional dress of various states. The procession started from Nehru Maidan till Karavali Utsava Ground. The students participated in great zeal and enthusiasm. Karavali Utsava’s theme, this year focused on Mangaluru's heritage, culture and history. The Ten-Day fiesta aims to make Mangalureans nostalgic with memories of the past and also inform important milestones to the younger generation.

Dr. Molly Chaudhuri invited as a Panel member at National Conference Dr. Molly Chaudhuri invited as a Panel member at National Conference Dr. Molly Chaudhuri was the Panel member at the Two-Day National Conference on the theme “Consolidating Social Enterprises through Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives: Issues and Challenges” at the A J Institute of Management, Mangaluru. The session was chaired by Mr. Allen Pereira, former Managing Director of Bank of Maharashtra. The other panel members included Mr. Praveen Pinto, Chief Manager (Production Planning), MRPL; Mr. Ronald Mascarenhas, Head-HR & Admin, Syngene International Ltd and Mr. P P Shetty, Advisor and Consultant, Syngene International Ltd, Mangaluru.

The panellists presented the various CSR initiatives taken up in their respective organizations. Delegates from across the country participated in the two day deliberations. Dr. Molly Chaudhuri focused on CSR in the Education sector and highlighted the special projects some of the leading corporate offices have undertaken as CSR initiatives.

Introduction of Mentor:

Girish Madla is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Dept of Business Administration. His area of expertise is in Marketing and Strategy. He has a teaching experience of more than 18 years having worked as Assistant Director at OHIO University Christ College Academy for Management Education, Bengaluru. He has received the Service award from OHIO University, USA for his contribution to OHIO MBA programme in India. He is also a mentor for Startups, Member of Board of Studies and Member of Board of Examiners at Adichunchanagiri University, Bellur.

Introduction of Mentees:
• Manjunath M P is from Mysore. He has done his schooling in Viveka School of Excellence in Sargur (tq), PUC in St. Philomena’s College, Mysore and degree from Vidyavardhaka first grade college, Mysore. His hobby is blog writing and aspires to make a career in finance.
• Swathi S Salian is from Suratkal. She has done her schooling from Sri Mahalingeshwara English Medium School, Surathkal and PUC and B.Com from Govinda Dasa College Surathkal. Her hobby is listening to music. She aspires to be a finance analyst.
• Vikash Shetty M is from Vittla. He has done his schooling from Govt. High School, Kadumata and PUC & B.Com from SVS College, Bantwal. His hobbies are reading news and creating stories. He has represented South Canara Volleyball Team in State Level. He aspires to be a banker.
• Ganesh Baliga is from Mangaluru and has done his schooling from Rosario High School, Mangaluru, PUC from Canara College, Mangaluru and B.Com from Canara First Grade College, Mangaluru. He is a Rotaract member. He is eager to make career in stock trading and is currently investing in stocks.
• K S Prathiksha is from Kumta. She has done her schooling from BGS Kumta, PUC from Nellikeri College and B.Com from Dr. AV Baliga College, Kumta. Her hobbies are singing and watching movies. Last year, she has also sung a song for a programme in DD Chandana TV Channel. She wants to make a career in banking.
• Guruprasad is from Karkala. He has done his schooling from KSPM Government High School, Pervaje, Karkala and PUC and B.Com from Shree Bhuvanendra College Karkala. His hobbies are reading books & performing in dramas. He has done Tulu Drama as well. He would like to make a career in finance.
• Akhila Pajimannu is from Puttur. She has done her schooling from Vivekananda English Medium School, Puttur, PUC from Vivekananda PU College, Puttur and B.Com from Vivekananda College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Puttur. Her hobbies are singing. She is the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs Season 8 and has won Runners up in “Kannada Kogile” aired by Colours TV. She wants to make her career in banking.
• Sahana Mendon is from Mangaluru. She has done her schooling from Amritha Vidyalayam, Boloor, PUC from Canara Pre-University College, Mangaluru and B.Com from SDM College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are reading novels. She is eager to make her career in Finance.
• Harshitha A is from Puttur. She has done her schooling from St. Victor Girls’ High School Puttur, PUC and B.Com from St. Philomena College Puttur. Her hobby is listening to music. She wants to make her career in Banking Sector.
• Shriraksha is from Byndoor. She has done her PUC from Government Junior College, Byndoor and BBM from Dr. B B Hegde First Grade College, Kundapur. Her hobbies are dancing and playing chess. She has got 164th rank in Intercollegiate Chess Competition and has also won Taluk Level Kabaddi Competition. She aspires to make a career in Banking sector.
