Caliper approved for supplying product assemblies to Defence

Mr. P. K. Arora, Jt GM & Mr. Durgalu, QC Manager, from Heavy Vehicles Factory, Avadi, Chennai (a Defence Establishment manufacturing armoured vehicles) audited Caliper to approve them for manufacturing product assemblies. After a detailed auditing, HVF has now approved Caliper for manufacturing product assemblies. Formal certificate will be issued soon. This is yet another step forward in Caliper’s journey to be a part of India’s elite manufacturing companies. They also interacted with Mr. Balakrishna S S, Vice-Principal, visited RDL, DT Labs, Aptra & were taken around the college campus.

International Admission Representative for Bard College New York, visited Sahyadri

International Admission Representative for Bard College New York, visited Sahyadri Mr. Pranjal Ghate, International Admission Representative for Bard College New York, visited Sahyadri and addressed the MBA students. In his address he informed the students about the opportunities available in foreign university to do higher studies, preparation needed and how to apply for scholarship which eventually reduces the cost of studying abroad. He also talked about the teaching methodology followed in American Universities. He has acquired his Bachelors in Arts from Bard College, New York, majoring in Economics.

MBAs attend the “Outbound Experiential Business Management Training” at Ankola

Outbound Experiential Business Management Training Outbound Experiential Business Management Training A total of 147 students from first year MBA accompanied by 10 faculty members participated in the “Outbound Experiential Business Management Training Module” at ‘Nature Bound Sahyadri Camp’ in Ankola. The course was organized for value forming experiences through adventure and challenge, Compassion and Service, Learning through experience and Social & Environmental responsibility.

The course facilitated experiences through activities and games to get a practical insight to individual behaviour and group dynamics. The purpose was to reflect upon desired responses and experiment them in real time situations and further reflect on what to expect from future experiences. The students were divided into nine teams and each team was allotted with a trainer. As soon as the students entered into the camp they had to deposit all the gadgets and hence had to stay away from digital life for three days. The students also had to stay in tents.

At 6am every day, students had to be ready for jogging and warm-up only after which activities for the day began. The sessions would normally conclude only at around 12:30 mid-night.

Outbound Experiential Business Management Training The whole day event included activities related to communication, adventure and navigation in forest using navigation compass. It also included briefing sessions on personality development, smart thinking, development and application of strategies.

The students had to challenge themselves when they were tested with physical endurance and also logical thinking. Students returned with a positive feedback and also expressed their confidence to stay away from the digital gadgets for more hours. The course has definitely brought in changes in personal and professional behavioural pattern of students and helped in reinforcing the theories and principles studied in the classroom.

Mr. Ramesh K G is currently working as Dean Strategic Planning and Associate Professor in Department of Business Administration. He has 13 years of Corporate Experience. He has worked as Regional Manager, Customer Service & Operations for Karnataka & Goa, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Chief Manager, Retail Asset Operations, ICICI Bank, Mumbai. He has completed his B Com, LLB and MBA in Finance from Mangalore University and currently pursuing PhD from VTU. He is the Board of Studies member of SDM College (Autonomous), Ujire. He is with Sahyadri Family for the last 7 years. His areas of specialization are Banking, Business Law and Supply Chain Management.

Anantha Krishna: B Com Graduate from SDM College Ujire. His area of interest is Finance and he wants to become a Financial Analyst. He plays chess, writes blogs and interested in solving puzzles. He has participated in many inter-collegiate fests.
Anusha A: B Sc Graduate from St. Aloysius College, Mangalore. She is a member of Kannada Wikipedia. Won prizes in singing competition, Interactive Chemistry competition. Every Saturday she teaches Bhajans for the children in her area. She also writes blogs. She wants to work for a reputed organization where she can grow and achieve success.
Dheeraj Amin: B Com Graduate from Sharada College, Mangalore. He has participated in District level Kho Kho, college level Athletics and Cricket. He was a member of college NSS unit. He aspires to reach managerial position in a reputed organization.
Josvina Nathasha Machado: B Com Graduate from St. Agnes College, Mangalore. She was an active member of Guides. She has participated in many inter-collegiate fests and conferences. She likes painting and writing blog. She wants to work for a reputed company for few years, post which she wants to start a business of her own and become an entrepreneur.
Marita Renila DSouza: B Com Graduate from Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar. She was working for a Credit Co-operative Society for 2 years along with that she has completed her M. Com from Mangalore University through distance education. She has participated in district level Chess and Badminton tournaments. She wants to get into Banking Sector post her MBA.
Mohammed Zeehab: BBM Graduate from SDM College, Mangalore. He has participated in District Level Athletic and College level Cricket tournaments. He also writes blogs. He aspires to work for a reputed organization in a managerial position.
Nishantha: B Com Graduate from GFGC, Shankaranarayana. He was an active member of NSS unit and was the President of NSUI Byndoor Unit for 2017-18. He has participated in district level Kabaddi tournament. His hobby includes agriculture and writing blogs. He wants to work for a reputed company and be a good citizen.
Renisha L Olivera: B Com Graduate from SMS College, Brahmavar. She has participated in inter-school, inter-college athletic tournaments and Cluster level athletic meet held at Andra Pradesh and won many prizes. She is a member of Grama Sabha. She wants to work for a reputed organization and use the knowledge gained over the years and be a good citizen by helping others.
Shravan: B Com Graduate from GFGC, Haleyangadi. He has got more that 50 certificates in Drawing and Painting. He has participated in State Level Junior and Senior Athletic meet at Bangalore in 2016. He has participated in State level marathon held at Mysore and got Gold medal. He has played state level Kabaddi tournament in 2013. He wants to be an entrepreneur.
Srusti K G: B Com Graduate from Poorna Prajna College, Udupi. She is into Kho Kho and Athletics. She has passed all exams with distinction till date. She writes short poems and blogs. She wants to be a teacher or an entrepreneur. She gets inspired by flowers as, even though it has shorter life span but keeps everyone happy.
