Mentor-Mentee System at Sahyadri Research Paper titled - “Skill Assessment of Management Students for Mentoring on the Employability Skills - A study on a Tier 3 B-School in Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, India” authored by Prof. Sushma V, Dept. of Business Administration-MBA & co-authored by Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director-MBA has been accepted for Presentation at the 4th International Conference on “Opportunities and Challenges in Business Management (OCBM 2020) to be held during 25th to 26th Feb’20 at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Dubai, UAE.

Presentation of IoT Future Skill Initiative

iot iot Presentation of IoT Future Skill initiative was organized on 14th Dec’19 at the Corporate Office of Research Design Lab (RDL). Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Design Engineer, RDL handled the session. He explained the three use cases for safety systems in buildings, Audit Construction activity automatically for Cost Quality Schedule and Dimensions, IoT Solutions for Adaptive Traffic Management.

Mr. Pradeep Kumar mentioned the important facts to be considered while understanding IoT, with different test cases. Around 30+ people benefited from this program as a part of Sahyadri - IoT Future skill group.

Introduction of the Mentor:

Prof. Masooda obtained her B.E and M. Tech Degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru. Her area of interest includes Internet of Things, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and AR/VR. She has published a Paper in an International Journal for Science and Research. She has 2 years of teaching and 1 year of industry experience.

Mentees’ Details:
Shreya is from Udupi. She pursued schooling from St Pius English Medium School, Udupi and PUC from Viveka PU College, Kota. Her hobbies include public speaking, program presentation, travelling, reading books, playing volleyball etc. She is a good athlete and has won prizes in District Level running race competitions. She aspires to become a professional program developer.

Gowtham P B is from Puttur. He pursued his schooling from Ramakrishna High School, Puttur and PUC from Ambika PU College, Nellikatte. His hobbies include photo editing, gaming, reading books, editing songs and videos, photography etc. He has a talent for quiz and project presentations. He has participated in Technical Fest ‘ATMOS-19’ held at BITS, Pilani, Hyderabad. He aspires to excel in the field of Software Development.

Rasha is from Mangaluru. She pursued her schooling from Carmel School and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are debating and sketching. She has participated in Ethical Hacking Workshop and also participated in ‘GRAVITAS-19’, a technical fest held at VIT, Vellore, Tamilnadu. She aspires to become an IT professional.

Haifa Haneef is from Mangaluru. She pursued her schooling from Indian High School, Dubai, UAE and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies are listening to music, planning and organizing events. She has participated in Talents Day Competition and won the prize in group dance. Her aspiration is to excel in IT field.

Chithritha Karkera is from Mangaluru. She pursued her schooling from St. Mary’s High School and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. She is a classical dancer and also good in classical and western music. Her hobbies are portrait drawing, dancing, singing and sketching. She aspires to join a good software industry.

Pooja H Acharya is from Mangaluru. She pursued her schooling from Vidyadayinee English Medium School, and PUC from Govinda Dasa College, Surathkal, Mangaluru. Her hobby is drawing. She has participated in ‘ATMOS-19’, a Technical Fest, held at BITS, Pilani, Hyderabad. She aspires to work in software industry.

Sreethu Sreenivas is from Kerala. He pursued his schooling from Sacred Heart G. H. S. School and PUC from Mambaram H. S. School, Kerala. His hobbies are singing, dancing, photography and listening to music. He is a good classical dancer and has also participated in various dance competitions. He aspires to become an expert in IT programming.
