Sahyadrians participate in a Webinar on the New Education Policy organised by NITK

Faculty members of all Engineering streams and MBA Dept. participated in a Webinar on "Role of Teachers" reflecting the key highlights of the National Education Policy 2020. The Webinar was organised by National Institute of Technology-Karnataka.
With the quickly changing employment landscape and global ecosystem it is becoming increasingly critical that the students have a multidimensional and interdisciplinary approach towards problem solving. In this regard, the major role which teachers have to play for the holistic development of the students was the key takeaway of the Webinar. This was followed by an interactive session.

The Webinar was delivered by Prof. K. Balaveera Reddy, Chairperson-Board of Governors, NITK. All Engineering colleges from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts participated in the Webinar.
About Prof. K. Balaveera Reddy:
Prof. Reddy completed his PG from IIT, Kharagpur, in Machine Design, and PhD from IIT, Madras. He joined the Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal. His significant contributions to research are mainly in Design of Machine Elements, Design and Drawing, Vibrations, Reliability and Machinery Diagnostics, Torsional Vibrations, Gears and Gear Shafts, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, Microprocessors and Machine Tools.
For five decades, Prof. Reddy has held various positions in academia and administration, helping to develop the quality of education.
