Unaisa Begum with 73.78% has topped the Sahyadri College in the Information Science & Engineering, Semester V Examination of 2013-14 held by VTU. Yakshita P. Shetty has obtained the second position in the college with 69.11% while Sushmitha with 66.89% stands third.
Students participate in National Level Art & Culture Workshop
Adi Chunchanagiri Institute of Technology, Chikkmangalore, conducted a national level Art & Culture workshop in various fields of art and culture such as vocal music, folk dance, painting and craft making. The programme was organised by SPIC MACAY. This workshop was conducted by many national level artists. Mr. Vidyashankar and Mr. Varun Rao, students of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering and Mr. Karthik Ramakrishnan, student of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, along with Mr. Naveen Pillar, Co-coordinator, Department of Art and Culture, attended this workshop. Students from various parts of India took part in this event.
Cognizant State Level Placement Programme
 220 students from 11 colleges in and around the district took the Cognizant online test for which the results are awaited. The Technical and HR interview for candidates shortlisted in the online test will be held in the Campus on Monday, February 03, 2014. Students are aspiring for the position of Programme Analyst Trainee.
Tomorrow at Sahyadri
Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management in association with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore (IISc), will be conducting a computer based Test for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2014). It will be conducted in 5 different phases for various disciplines. The first phase of examinations will be held in two different shifts - Morning: 9:00A.M. to 12:00 Noon and Afternoon: 2:00 P.M.to 5:00 PM. Around 450 candidates from all over the country are expected to take part in the exam.

 A research paper titled, “Receiver Based Multicasting Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks”, by Mr. Madesha M., Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and co-authored by Ms. Chaya T. D., Lecturer, H.M.S. Institute of Technology, has been published in the International Journal of Engineering Research & Technology (IJERT) (ISSN: 2278-0181) Vol. 3 Issue 1, January – 2014.
Faculty member invited as Judge at National Level Management Fest
 Mr. Lokesh, Assistant Professor S.G., Department of Business Administration, was invited to judge the national level management fest, “SPIN OUT 2013-14”, organised by St. Aloysius Autonomous College, Mangalore. The fest was conducted for the undergraduate students of management stream.
