M.Tech. Semester I Results
The Semester I M.Tech. results are declared by VTU. Of the five students who took the Structural Engineering (CSE) VTU examination 2014-15, four obtained a distinction and one student a first class bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 100%. Likewise, out of the twenty students of the Computer Science & Engineering (SCS-CS) stream, nine obtained a distinction and ten a first class bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 95%. In the Machine Design (MMD-ME) department, out of the seventeen students, twelve obtained a distinction and three students a first class bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 88.20%.
Likewise, of the twenty-three VLSI Design & Embedded Systems (LVS-EC) students who took the examination, four obtained a distinction and thirteen students a first class bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 73.90%. The students of Computer Aided Design of Structures (CCS) saw a percentage score of 70.60% with nine students obtaining a distinction and three students a first class out of the seventeen who took the examination.

HR Personnel of TCS Address Final Year Students of the College
Mr. Sarfaraz Nawaz Khan H., HR - TAG, Campus Recruitment, Tata Consultancy Service and Mr. Sreenivasa Ramanujam, Academic Relationship Manager - Karnataka, TCS, visited the Campus. They addressed the final year students about TCS and the career opportunities at TCS. They also explained TCS’ off campus online test procedure which will be held on the 20th of February 2015.

Dr. Manoj Kumar A.P. has joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He earned his B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore, Masters in Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering and Analysis from MIT, Manipal and his doctoral degree in Thermal Engineering from NITK, Surathkal.

Vidyavathi, Professor, Department of Master of Business Administration has been published in the International Journal Of Marketing, Financial Services & Management Research - ISSN 2277-3622; Vol.3 (12), December (2014) , pp. 69-79 impact factor 3.454
Mr. Avinash B. N. is currently pursuing his Ph.D. through VTU in Management at Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management under the guidance of Dr. K. Vidyavathi, Professor, Department of Master of Business Administration.

• A recruitment team of Axis Bank will conduct the final round of the selection procedure. Four MBA students will be attending the personal interview round. Mr. Sheeraj Khan, Regional Manager-HR, Mr. Shyamchandra Bhat, Deputy Vice President-Cluster Head and Mr. Ganesh Bhat, AVP-Branch Head will comprise the recruitment team of Axis Bank.
• A pooled campus recruitment drive will be held by Tega Industries Limited for final year Mechanical Engineering students and an internship drive for pre-final year Mechanical Engineering students.
