A special issue entitled "Frontiers In Intelligent Systems Development" guest edited by Mr. Steven Lawrence Fernandes, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is now available online http://www.iioab.org/vol72spfisdjan16.htm
The key objective of this special issue is to provide a guide to the rapidly developing resources in science and technology and their impact on human lives. Papers of this special issue include intelligent systems developed in the area of Statistical Analysis, Machine Learning, Soft Computing, Next Generation Computing, and Medical Image Processing. All the papers included in this special issue are indexed by Scopus (Elsevier).

Mangalore Infotech Campus Recruitment Drive
Mangalore Infotech Solutions Pvt. Ltd. visited Sahyadri and conducted a campus recruitment drive for the engineering students of the 2016 batch. 168 students participated in the drive and 3 are shortlisted for the interview. Our alumni Isham Ibrahim and Karthik Bhat working for Mangalore infotech also interacted with the students.
Mangalore Infotech Solutions Private Limited started operations with a small group of highly motivated and experienced young engineers who wanted to prove that products of extremely high quality can be delivered by focusing on limited clients and specific products.
Student Club Activities Commence
The student club activities for the year 2016 have commenced. Manthana-Our Walk Towards Change-The CSR Club, Abhiruchi-The Hobby Club, Logical Indian-The Jugaad Club, Oratocrats-The Gavel club and Quizzard-The Quiz Club were the clubs that were kicked off.
A mock session on the working of the clubs was conducted by members of Oratocrats Gavel Club. Ice breaker, Dum- Shararath, pick and speak and many more fun activities were conducted. Students enjoyed and appreciated the session.
Prof. S S Balakrishna, Vice Principal, Dr. Molly S Chaudhuri, Head, Department of Training, Mr. Rakshith Shetty, Asst. Professor, Dept of Mechanical Engineering, Ms. Varsha, Asst. Training Officer, Dept. of Training , addressed the students and explained the importance of involving themselves actively in the club activities. They called on students and faculty members to be more involved and to actively take part in the working of the clubs.
