This means “True knowledge gives discipline, from discipline comes worthiness, from worthiness one gets wealth, from wealth one does good deeds which leads to happiness”. With this premise in mind, a team of MBA First year students conducted a training programme on “Self-Development” for Higher Primary students at Grama Panchayat Govt School, Pandeshwar, Mangaluru. This programme focussed on activity based learning which imparted hands on experience and invoked student’s creativity skills. Activities like “Passing the message”, “World Building”, “Goal Setting” and “tail on the cat” were conducted which emphasised on developing communication skills, self esteem and develop team participation. This initiative is conceived as a part of practical component of curriculum related to Human Resource Management and institutional corporate responsibility. MBA students were overwhelmed by the participation of innocent kids and were nostalgic about their own school days.
