 Dr. Jayarama A, Department of Physics has co-authored 8 research papers during the current academic year 2016-17. Among them, 4 research papers were published in SCI indexed, peer reviewed journals namely
(1) Study of Radiation Resistance Property of a-IGZO Thin Film Transistors
(2) Third order NLO property of thienyl chalcone derivative: Physicochemical analysis and crystal structure determination
(3)Structural, thermal, linear and nonlinear optical studies of an organic optical limiter based on reverse saturable absorption
(4)Synthesis, growth, structural characterization, Hirshfeld analysis and nonlinear optical studies of a methyl substituted chalcone,.
The other 4 research papers were published in Sahyadri Journal of Research namely

Sahyadri Whiz Quiz underway at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala
Department of Business Administration is in the process of completing the Written and College Level Quiz round in UG colleges and selecting brilliant students for the Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2017 Grand Finale which will be held in Sahyadri Campus on March 10th’2017. Prof. Raghavendra Prabhu & Dr. Vidyavathi along with student volunteers carried out the campus level round of Quiz at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala. 63 students from this institute participated enthusiastically and were keen to be a part of the Grand Finale.

Under the guidance and support of Prof. Bharath Bhushan, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, fourth semester CSE students had participated and won prizes in Sambhram-2017
- Navneeth Krishna and Rumaan Khalander - 1st Prize in Technical paper presentation
- Rumaan Khalander and Musthaq Ahmed - 2nd Prize in Android App development
- Pallavi K and Pooja - 2nd Prize in Kite Fighting competition.
Training conducted by MBAs in Ganapathy High School, Mangaluru
“Alasasya kuto vidya, advidyasya kuto dhanam, Adhanasya kuto mitram, amitrasya kutoh sukham” - This means, the one who is lazy and doesn’t put in efforts is unable to acquire knowledge. Wealth does not come to the one without knowledge and in such bad times, one cannot make good friends and happiness is far away from him. With this premise in mind, a team of MBA first year students conducted a training programme on ‘Self Development’ for higher primary students of Ganapathy High School, GHS Road, Mangaluru. The objective of the Training Programme was to seek student’s involvement in fun with learning.
Student Development Activities like “Walk this way”, “What you do, comes back to you”, “Guess the personality”, “Public Speaking” were conducted which gave a forum to students to exhibit their talent and also work as a team.
Students were treated with chocolates on the completion of the training which created a joyful ambience. It was encouraging to see that one of the students volunteered to give vote of thanks who expressed his gratitude to the Sahyadri MBA Team for spending time with them and creating a learning environment along with fun.
