Two MBA Students selected to participate in the first Graduate Summer School (GSS 2018) to be held at IIM Ahmedabad
Kshama Hegde & Varun K from the final year MBA have been selected to participate in the first Graduate Summer School (GSS 2018) to be held from Apr 2 – 6, 2018 at IIM Ahmedabad.
GSS 2018 aims to hone the management acumen of students through IIMA’s pedagogy which includes the case methods, team building & entrepreneurship sprints! The IIMA Graduate Summer School also holds exciting opportunities among participants to earn special recognition as ‘The Budding Entrepreneur’, ‘Best Performer’ & more towards the end of the workshop. The summer school includes panel sessions by IIMA faculty, entrepreneur & other industry practitioners. It also includes sessions on Survey Design, Qualitative Methods of Data Collection, How to Read & Analyse a Case, Entrepreneurship & Financial Inclusion, Applications of Research in Agri-Business, MS Excel Session, Applications of Research in Operations Management, Entrepreneurial Ideation Sprint, Marketing Strategy, Experimental Methods for Management Research, "Business Idea" Presentation, Strategic Management and so on.
Mr. Jagadish Poojary wins the Title - “Mr. Karnataka-2018” in State Level Body Building Competition
Mr. Jagadish Poojary, Sahyadri Multigymnasium trainer and staff member in the department of Mathematics won First prize in the ‘Mr. Karnataka -2018’ a State Level Body Building Competition held in Udupi. He has also been selected for National Level Body Building Competition -“Mr. India”.
Campus Recruitment Drive -Silver Peak Global (SGP)
Silver Peak Global (SPG) visited Sahyadri to conduct Campus Recruitment Drive for the Engineering students of 2018 batch. A total of 148 students attended the drive & the results are awaited.
Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims at Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangadi
Final year students pursuing B.Com at Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangadi participated in the preliminary rounds of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018. Dr. Rashmi Kodikal & Prof. Deepak B E along with 8 student volunteers of the MBA Department administered the Written Quiz Round & conducted the College Level Quiz Round. A total of 4 teams would participate in the “Grand Finale - Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2018” at Sahyadri. Prof. Ramanath, Principal, GFGC, Haleyangadi distributed the certificates, thanked Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and also invited the students of MBA to conduct Aptitude based Training programme for the Final year degree students.
