ANALOG IC DESIGN - Short term course in EC Department

ANALOG IC DESIGN ANALOG IC DESIGN During the Day One of the Analog IC Design – Short Term Course organized by the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering, the resource persons - Mr. Sumit Patil, Senior Application Engineer and Mr. Navinsankar J, Field Application Engineer from Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd, Bengaluru introduced the students to various technologies of VLSI design like 180nm, 90nm, 45nm etc and a brief discussion was held. The procedure involved in obtaining the GPDK file for a particular design was demonstrated. They also explained the various cadence tools like Spectre, Assura & Virtuoso. Students were able to synthesize basic amplifier circuit topologies based on the specifications that were provided to them.

During the Day Two, the resource person gave a detailed description on the important parameters that were to be considered during the designing of power amplifiers and other analog circuits. Students had to solve a problem wherein they had to design an amplifier based on the specifications that were given by the resource person. The analysis was done in three steps. The first step involved parametric analysis of a NMOS, the second involved parametric analysis of a NMOS and a load resistor and the third involved the parametric analysis of a PMOS. Later, the layout constraints and physical verifications for the design of the amplifier were carried out till GDSII.

Pool Campus Recruitment Drive - "Ninjacart" is visiting Sahyadri on February 9th, 2018
Ninjacart will conduct Pool Campus Recruitment Drive for the outgoing engineering students of 2017 & 2018 batches. Ninjacart is India's leading agri-marketing platform connecting vegetables and fruit farmers directly with businesses. On the one hand, they help farmers get better prices and consistent demand and on other hand, they help retailers’ source fresh vegetables at competitive prices directly from farmers. Ninjacart does this effectively at lower cost, better speed and on a larger scale using integrated supply chain powered by technology, data science, infrastructure, and logistics network. They move one lac kilos of vegetables from farm to 800+ retailers on a daily basis within 12 hours. They are funded by Accel Partners, NandanNilekani, Mistletoe (Japan) & Qualcomm Ventures.
