Dream Kit selected in the top 3 of VAA Startup Quest Biz Pitch 2019

DTi Labz Private Limited represented by the interns Mr. Aashish and Mr. Pushparaj Adka of final year and third year Electronics and Communication Engineering respectively have been selected to pitch their product Dream Kit in the VAA Startup Quest Biz Pitch event organized by World Konkani Association (WKA), Mangaluru.

Out of the 10 startup teams participated, DTi Labz Private Limited were one of the top 3 participants selected by the jury panel of Mr. Rajesh Kamath from Infosys and Mr. Prashanth, CEO and Founder of Mangalore Infotech. The team was awarded with a cash prize of 10,000 INR.

The Biz Pitch event was organized as a part of the annual event 'Prerna' by World Konkani Association. The winners were felicitated with the prize amount in Prerna 2019 by Padmashree T V Mohandas Pai, Chairman of Manipal Global. It was a great learning experience and exposure for the students and the Dream Kit team.

Introduction of the Mentor:
Prof. Girish S has pursued his B.E Degree from AIT College, Chikmangalur and M.Tech from JNNCE College, Shimoga. He has 12.5 years of teaching experience. His research area includes Mobile Computing, Networking and Wireless Sensor Networks etc. He has published various research articles in reputed journals.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Nevil Fernandes pursued his high school in St. Joseph’s School, Mangaluru and PUC from Boscos PU College, Mangaluru. He aspires to join Indian Navy and also wishes to become a game developer.
• Aditya pursued his high school in St. Michael’s High School, and PUC in St. Michael’s PU College, Madikere. His aspiration is to get placed in sap labs. He is also interested to coding in C C++ Java etc.
• Trishar pursued his high school in Milagres High School, Mangaluru and PUC from Canara College, Mangaluru. He aspires to be a software developer and simultaneously to learn programming languages.
• Shreetheja S.N. pursued her high school in Ambika Padavi Purva Vidyalaya. She aspires to become theoretical physicist and gain more knowledge on computers.
• Ramyashri pursued her high school in Govt Junior College, Udupi and PUC from Shamili PU College, Udupi. Her aspiration is to become software engineer. She simultaneoulsy wants to pursue her Doctoral Degree.
• Kavana Tilak S.K. pursued her high school in Ambika Padivi Purva Vidyalaya, Puttur. She aspires to become a software engineer. She is also interested in coding in the latest programming languages.
• Brinda Kulal pursued her high school in Sri Venkataramana PU College, Bantwal. She aspires to become a software engineer.

Introduction of the Mentor:
Prof. Lester Castelino has pursued his B.E. from BIT, Mangaluru and M. Tech from JSS Science & Technological University (formerly SJCE), Mysuru. He has 2.5 years of industry experience. His area of expertise is Environmental Engineering.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Abhinandhan D. is from Uppinangady. He completed his schooling from Sri Ramakunjeshwara English Medium High School, Ramakunja and PUC from Sri Ramakunjeshwara PU College. His hobbies are watching videos related to cars, e-gadgets, civil engineering, etc. He aspires to work in any multinational company.
• Brunda P. hails from Mandya. She completed her schooling from Athreya High School, Mandya and PUC from Excellent PU College, Moodbidri. Her hobbies include watching TV, reading and singing. She aspires to get into teaching and become a professor.
• M. Dhanush Kumar is from Mangaluru. He completed his schooling from Sri Ramakrishna High School, Mangaluru and PUC from Shri Bharathi PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include drawing, painting and playing Badminton and Volleyball. He aspires to be an entrepreneur in the field of civil engineering.
• Mohammed Rowhan Nayaz is from Mangaluru. He completed his schooling from Presidency School, Kellnai and PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include playing cricket and watching IPL. He has participated in inter-collegiate chess competition. He aspires to work in the field of automobile.
• Mohammed Suhaib is from Mangaluru. He completed his schooling from Jnana Deepa School, Mudipu and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are reading novels and playing cricket. He aspires to be an entrepreneur in the field of civil engineering.
• Sinchana is from Kundapur. She completed her schooling from Viveka High school, Kota and PUC from Viveka College, Kota. Her hobby is dancing. She has participated in Bharatanatyam as well as western dance competitions. She aspires to work in the construction industry.

Introduction of Mentor:
Prof. Asha B. Shetty has pursued her B.E. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering in Srinivas Institute of Technology, Mangaluru and M.Tech degree in Computer Network Engineering in NMAMIT, Nitte. Her area of interest includes computer networking and data analytics.

• Apoorva Rao B. is from Surathkal. She pursued her high school in Holy Cross School, Surathkal and PUC from Govindadasa PU College, Surathkal. Her hobbies include dancing, speech, debate, and playing badminton. Her special interest lies in mehendi & rangoli (popular art forms of Indian subcontinent) designing. She has completed senior grade in Bharatanatyam, classical dance form. She was also the president of Interact Club during her PUC days. She is willing to serve in the field of astronomy by using the concepts of information science and engineering. Her dream is to build a center for animals by employing people from economically backward sections of the society.
• Hithashree V.B. hails from Kodagu. She pursued her high school in St. Thomas School, Kodagu and PUC from Sharada P.U. College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include dancing and painting. After completion of her UG course, she aspires to go abroad for higher education to pursue her particular area of discipline.
• Mayur Pai B.H. is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school and PUC in Sharada Vidyanikethana, Mangaluru. His hobbies include drawing, cycling, and playing cricket & badminton. His aspiration is to become a good software developer in a reputed multinational company.
• Prathiksha Kamath is from Kundapur. She pursued her high school from SVEMS, Kundapur and PUC from SVPU, Kundapur. Her hobbies includes dancing, drawing. Her aspiration is to become a software engineer in a good multinational company.
• Sara Raisa Ummar is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school in NMPT High School, Panambur and PUC from Canara PU College, Mangaluru. Her hobbies include drawing and reading. She is interested in the field of ethical hacking and her aspiration is to become a software engineer.
• Shreerekha is from Perla. She pursued her high school in GHSS Padre and PUC from JPUC, Adyanadka. Her hobbies include poetry and playing violin. Her aspiration is to become an efficient software engineer in a reputed company.
• Varun is from Bantwal. He pursued his high school in Deepika High School, Modankap and PUC at Carmel Convent PU College, Modankap. His leisure activities include playing volleyball, cricket and table-tennis. His aspiration is to become a software engineer in a reputed multinational company.

Prof. Vijayalaxmi Kedilaya B. obtained her B.E Degree in Civil Engineering from NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, and M.Tech in Structural Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. She has published one Paper in Scopus indexed journal and one book chapter in Springer Publication. She has attended two international conferences each at NITK and Reva University. Her areas of interest include Structural Analysis, Steel Structures, and Earthquake Resistant Design.

• Yathish Kumar hails from Chikmanglur. He is a passionate artist. He completed his schooling in Canara High School, and his PUC from Canara College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include painting, pencil sketching and bike riding. He aspires to become a successful architect.
• Soudan Maroof is from Chikmanglur. He completed his schooling from Delhi Public School, MRPL. He studied PUC at St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include photography and playing football. He aspires to become an entrepreneur.
• Ruthvika Khanapur is basically from Shimoga. She aspires to become a successful IAS officer. She studied at Mandara Gyanadayani School, Shimoga and completed her PUC from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru. She loves listening to music, reading novels and playing games. She has won 2nd Prize in Basketball inter-collegiate Competition.
• Aveen Shetty hails from Udupi. He completed his schooling from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Hebri and PUC from NJC, Udupi. His hobbies are playing Badminton and reading novels. He aspires to become a successful civil engineer.
• Manish is from Kundapur. He completed his schooling from Viveka English Medium High School and PUC from Viveka PU College. His hobbies are listening to music and playing Kabaddi. His favourite leisure time activity is Gym workout. He aspires to become a successful businessman.
• Hassan Mufeez Shaik is from Sirsi. He has secured 2nd place in District level Kabaddi Competition. He aspires to become a successful design consultant. His hobbies include listening to music and bike riding.
• Naveen S.L. is basically from Ananthpuram. He completed his schooling from Nandi International School and PUC from Shree Chaitanya College. He loves painting, swimming and bike riding.
