Campus Recruitment Drive - Kreatio Software

Kreatio Software conducted a Two-Day Pool Campus Recruitment Drive at Sahyadri for B.E / B.Tech & MBA students of 2019 outgoing batch. A four member team comprising of Mr. Venu Somaiah, HR Manager; Mr. Krishna Kumar – CEO; Mr. Raghavendra V, Team Lead and Mr. Arun Varghese, Technical Manager were at the campus to facilitate the process. Above 600 students from various colleges participated in the drive. The results are awaited.

Campus Recruitment Drive - Orbittal Electromech Engineering Project Pvt Ltd.

Orbittal Electromech Engineering Projects Private Limited visited Sahyadri, to conduct a campus recruitment drive for the Electronics & Communication Engineering students of 2019 outgoing batch. The hiring was for the position of Trainee Engineer. The results are awaited.

Sahyadri Whiz Quiz Prelims at various Degree Colleges

• Field Marshal KM Cariappa Memorial College, Madikeri, Coorg
A total of 219 students in teams of 3 each participated in the Prelims of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz that was held at Field Marshal KM Cariappa Memorial College, Madikeri, Coorg. Eight teams emerged as winners and have been invited to participate in the Grand Finale of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2019 which would be held in Sahyadri Campus on March 8th’19. Final Year MBA students along with Prof. Padmanabha B and Prof. Ankith Kumar, Dept. of Business Administration-MBA facilitated the Quiz.

• Nalanda College of Arts and Science, Perla, Kasaragod

Final year students pursuing B. Com, BBA and B.Sc at Nalanda College of Arts and Science, Perla, Kasaragod registered for Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2019. 4 teams emerged as winners in the Preliminary round.




• Dr. A V Baliga College of Commerce, Kumta

Around 300 students from BBA and B.Com courses at Dr. A V Baliga College of Commerce, Kumta participated in the Prelims of Whiz-Quiz 2019. 8 teams were selected for Grand Finale. First year MBA students along with Prof. Girish M and Prof. Ramesh K G facilitated the quiz.



• Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru

150 students of B.Com and BA course at Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru took part in the Quiz. Prof. Vidya Bhat from Besant Women’s College coordinated the event in their campus. Prof. Girish M and Prof. Manjunath Kamath facilitated the quiz.



• Crossland College Brahmavar
70 Students of B.Com and BA (Management) course participated in the event. Four teams were selected for the Grand Finale to be held at Sahyadri Campus. Prof. Samuel K Samuel, Principal distributed the prizes and appreciated Sahyadri for conducting this event and requested to organize this every year at their campus. He also expressed that he would like to get his students for visit to Industries at Sahyadri. Prof. Ramesh K G and Prof. Girish M coordinated this event and assured Sahyadri’s support to the students.

Mentor-Mentee System at Sahyadri

Department: Electronics & Communication Engineering
Introduction of the Mentor:
Dr. Ashwath Rao, is currently working as head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has 12 years of industry and teaching experience and more than 5 years of research experience. He has completed his B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering in the year 2001, from N M A M Institute of Technology, Nitte, Mangalore University and M.S in VLSI-CAD in the year 2007 from Manipal Centre for Information Science, Manipal University, P.G.D.B.A in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, NMIMS University. He obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. A research grant of Rs.30 Lakhs has been funded by Vision Group of Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka for the title “Underground Water Detection, Replenishment & Mapping using Arial Infra-Red Application”. He is the member of Board of Studies for M.Tech Program in VLSI Design and Embedded System at NMAM Institute of Technology, Mangaluru. His areas of research include High-k Dielectrics, Microelectronics, MEMS, VLSI Design and Fabrication, Microelectronic Devices, Radiation Effects on Semiconductor Devices used for space application.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Akshay Shetty is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from Canara High School, Mangaluru, and PUC from St. Aloysius Pre University College, Mangaluru. His hobbies are sports, games and cultural activities. He aspires to work in a hardware company. He is the winner of DKCA cricket tournament in 2015. He was awarded with Excellence Award by Yenepoya University in 2015 and 2017. He participated in “Kshithj” an event conducted by IIT Kharagpur.
• Deepak is from Udupi He pursued his high school from Shanthiniketan English Medium School, Alevoor and PUC from Mahatma Gandhi Memorial PU College Udupi. His hobbies include swimming and travelling. He aspires to be a quality engineer. He has participated in state level volleyball and zonal Kabaddi.
• Manish D K is from Sullia He pursued his high school from KVG English Medium High School, Sullia, and PUC from Vivekananda Pre-University College, Puttur. His hobbies include photography and travelling. He aspires to become a good engineer and serve the nation. He won second place in Aerophilia Photography Competition held at Sahyadri College. He has cleared Bharathanatyam Junior Grade exam. He has participated in “TECHKRITI”, an event held at IIT Kanpur.
• Pavan D. is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from Vidyadayinee High School, Surathkal and PUC from Govinda Dasa PU College, Surathkal. His hobbies include playing cricket and reading books. He aspires to work in an electronic hardware company.
• Rashmitha R. Padmashali is from Surathkal and pursued her high school from Nethaji Govt High School, Kalavara, Udupi and PUC from Viveka PU College, Kota. Her hobbies are drawing and reading books. She aspires to work in an electronics company that manufactures products needed for Indian armed force.
• Shashank A.G. is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school from St. Theresa’s School, Mangaluru and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. His hobbies include animation and reading books. He aspires to work in an electronics design company. He also has an ambition to setup an electronics assembly plant in the near future.

Grifeo is conducting a recruitment drive for all streams of 2019 outgoing batch of engineering students.

Grifeo is Almost 10 year’s old organization having its corporate office in Bhubaneswar. It provides career enhancement training to various organizations across the country for new joiners.
