Director MBA is invited as a Panel Expert at Conclave in Canara College Director MBA is invited as a Panel Expert at Conclave in Canara College Dr.Vishal Samartha, Director - Department of Business Administration was invited as a Panel Expert at the National Conclave on "Rejuvenating Vision to Transform Indian Management Education in the Global Context" held in Canara College, Mangalore.

Dr. Samartha addressed the gathering and spoke on the topic 'Action Plan for Resurgence of India as a Vishwaguru and a Global Destination for Management Education'. She said that we live in a world of Uberization. We do not follow the traditional business model rather we are in the emerging business model where value is created outside the system in a non-linear exponential way. A few years back we lived with one career, but the present generation has to learn to surf from wave to wave and may have 5 to 6 career shifts in their life. Expertise has a shorter shelf life today. We are in an age where skill sets are becoming gradually obsolete and the present work force is scrambling to stay current. In this context management institutions will not have the luxury of remaining unchanged. Industry is collaborating with universities to develop skilled graduates ready to accept emerging technologies. She also said that management schools have already taken up the responsibility of building a model curriculum to produce new generation leaders in India who can help enterprises surf the wave to unlock the potential from the eco system.
