Sahyadrians attend “Dialogue with Stakeholders” Event at IIT, Mumbai, organized by Society for Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Mr. Johnson Tellis, CEO, Technical Career Education Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Gouse Khan, Incubation Manager-NAIN and Mr. Ashish, Project Head, DTi Labz attend the Event on “Dialogue with Stakeholders” organized by the Society for Innovation & Entrepreneurship - SINE, IIT Bombay in collaboration with Desai Sethi Centre for Entrepreneurship – DSCE. The Sahyadri team attended various panel sessions which included stakeholders such as Government, Entrepreneurs, Industry, Academics, and Investor. They also attended a session on Incubation Management by SINE.
Dialogue with Stakeholders” is an event that celebrates the spirit of entrepreneurship by bringing together all stakeholders in IIT Bombay's thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem across areas like government, academia, entrepreneurs, startups, investors and innovators alike under one roof for an opportunity to network and commemorate entrepreneurial success.
SINE is an umbrella organization at IIT-Bombay for fostering entrepreneurship and nurturing tech startups. It administers a business incubator which provides ‘Start to Scale’ support for technology based entrepreneurship and facilitates the conversion of research activity into Entrepreneurial Ventures.
Through their participation in this event, Sahyadri team got the opportunity to interact with the delegates from various organizations who were also a part of the event, and exchanged views and ideas on related topics.

Sahyadrians participate in Verbattle-2020, held at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru

The students of Sahyadri participated and competed at ‘Verbattle 2020’ held on 15th Feb’2020, at Gandhi Bhavan, Bengaluru. Although they could not make it to the finale, yet they put up a tough show for their competitors and showed their talent.
Meha Shetty from 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering, Hiba Fathima from 2nd Year Computer Science & Engineering and Rajmohan Kamath & Gowri Hiremath from 2nd Year Electronics & Communication Engineering participated in the event.
Verbattle is the largest, most exciting and unique platform for debate and dialogue. Its fundamental purpose is to facilitate thought and opinion exchange in addition to the primary goal of promoting democratic values in society.

Student of Computer Science & Engineering delivers an Internshala Talk on "How to gain Experience and Pocket Money while in College"

Vineet Nayak S, a student of Second Year Computer Science & Engineering and a VKSSF Scholar delivered an Internshala Talk on "How to Gain Experience and Pocket Money while in College" to the First Year students, in the presence of Prof. Deepak.
Vineet is the Internshala Student Partner for Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. The Talk is a part of Internshala Student Partner program and he delivered the Talk with pure dedication to help the students gain internship while in their First Year. Through this talk Vineet has created an awareness and interest amongst the students.

Campus Recruitment Drive – Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd.

Anglo Eastern Ship Management Ltd. conducted a Recruitment Drive on 17th Feb' 2020 for the Mechanical Engineering students of 2020 outgoing batch. The process began with a Pre-placement talk followed by Online Test. A total of 210 students participated in the recruitment process. The results are yet to be declared.

Prof. Abhishek K obtained his Bachelors’s Degree from NMAMIT, Nitte and M.Tech Degree in Product Design & Manufacturing from Centre for PG Studies, VTU, Belagavi. Apart from teaching, he is also the Production In-charge of Caliper Engineering & Lab Pvt. Ltd, a Sahyadri In-house Industry. His Area of Expertise is CNC Operation & Programing, Advance Manufacturing, Virtual Manufacturing and Product Design. He has four+ years of teaching and industry experience.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Navathej N is from Kasaragod, Kerala. He pursued his schooling and PUC from CHSS College, Kasaragod. He is interested in playing cricket and reading books. His aim is to take up career in Technical Design.
• Mohammed Zain is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from The Yenepoya School and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. He is interested in building gaming bots. His hobbies are reading technical books and watching movies. His aim is to become a Successful Engineer.
• Jeevan H P is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Morarji Desai Residential School and PUC from Dr. NSAM P U College, Mangaluru. He is interested in playing volleyball and has represented the college. His aim is to become a successful Design Engineer.
• Harshith K P Shetty is from Puttur. He pursued his schooling from Sri Ramakunjeshwara English Medium School and PUC from Ramakunja PU College. He is interested in playing cricket and football. His aspiration is to create useful things to the society as an Engineer.
