First Year MBAs visit Mysuru for Industrial Tour

A batch of First year MBA students went to Mysuru to visit prominent industries. The students visited KSIC Silk Weaving Factory, producers of famous Mysore Silk Sarees; Mysore Sandalwood Oil Extraction industries and GRS Forging Division. The students got to witness the actual working of an industrial setting and gained valuable knowledge from their interaction with the industrial experts. Prof. Chandrakanth, Prof Suchithra and Mr. Ankith S Kumar accompanied the students for the trip.

Prelims of Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2020, the flagship event of MBA Department

Captured Moments of the next four colleges qualified for the Grand Finale to be held at Sahyadri on 6th March 2020 competing against 350 teams to win the Grand Title – “Sahyadri Whiz Quiz 2020” - SDM College, Ujire; St. Thomas College, Halekote, Belthangady; Bhandarkar’s Arts & Science College, Kundapura and Dr. B. B. Hegde First Grade College, Kundapura.

Campus Recruitment Drive- Nettyfish Networks

Nettyfish Networks conducted a Pool Campus Recruitment Drive on 18th Feb, 2020, for Computer Science, Information Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering students of 2020 outgoing batch. A total of 483 students from pool colleges participated in the drive and the results are yet to be declared.

Campus Recruitment Drive- Sasken Technologies Ltd.

Sasken Technologies Ltd. conducted an online Assessment as a part of the recruitment process on 19th Feb, 2020, for Computer Science, Information Science and Electronics & Communication Engineering students of 2020 outgoing batch. A total of 266 students from various colleges participated in the test and the results are awaited.

Thanks Giving & Celebrating Success of “Sahyadri 10k Run Mangaluru”

After the success of “Sahyadri 10K Run Mangaluru”, organized by Dakshina Kannada Athletic Association (DKAA) and promoted by Bhandary Foundation, in line with Fit India Mission - 'Clean, Green, Healthy - Mangaluru' held on 02-02-2020, the Core Committee got together and shared their experiences of organizing such a mega event. Dr. R Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal; Prof. Balakrishna S S, Vice- Principal; Dr. Rajesha S, Dean of Academics; Mr. Ramesh Hegde, Finance Officer; Mr. Devadas Hegde, Trustee of Bhandary Foundation; Prof. Ramesh K G, Dean-Strategic Planning and Committee Heads & members, student volunteers were present during the meet and shared their opinions about the event. This was followed by Photo session and Lunch at Sahyadri Food Court.

Prof. Madhu R, has a teaching experience of 2.5 years. She pursued B.E from Vivekananda College of Engineering, Puttur and M. Tech in Computer Network Engineering from NMAMIT, Nitte. Her area of interest and specialization is Networking and Cyber security.

Introduction of the Mentees:
• Linisha Sheik is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school in St. Mary’s Girls High school and PUC in St. Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru. She has good communication and time management skills and is a Semi-classical dancer. She aspires to be a software engineer.

• Rohit Ranjan is from Sullia, DK. He pursued his high school in in DAV Public School, and PUC in Sri Vidya Mandir College. He has a good collection of stamps and is a cricket player. He aspires to join the defense and serve the Indian Navy.

• Mashooda is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school in NITK English Medium School, Mangaluru and PUC from St. Agnes PU College, Mangaluru. She is a team player and aspires to become a successful entrepreneur and contribute to the field of cyber security.

• Bhavyashree is from Mangaluru. She pursued her high school in Amrita Vidyalayam, Mangaluru and PUC from Canara PU College, Mangaluru. She is a Self-learner, a Singer and a Classical dancer. She aspires on becoming both a successful Engineer and an artist.

• Rashad is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school in Canara High school, Mangaluru and PUC in Canara PU College, Mangaluru. He has good communication skills. He aspires to be a successful engineer and work for a reputed organization.

• Rahul is from Mangaluru. He pursued his high school in Canara High school, Mangaluru and PUC in Canara PU College, Mangaluru. He has good communication skills and is good at ethical hacking. He is good with programming languages and aspires to be a coding expert.

Tomorrow at Sahyadri

Ethnus is visiting Sahyadri to conduct the Pool Campus Recruitment Drive for the BE students from all branches of 2020 outgoing batch. The recruitment is for the position of TYRO Academician.
