First Year Engineering Students Outshine at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad

A total of 8 First Year students from Clan ‘Mudita’, under the mentorship of Mr. Sarvesh Naik, a student of Second Year Mechanical Engineering participated in Elan & Nvision 2020 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad
The team won 4th Place in DTMF Race and 5th Place in Robo soccer.

A Workshop titled ‘Revamp Your Basics’ was organised by Mozilla Club and SOSC for Students of all branches of Engineering

A Workshop titled, "Revamp your Basics" was organised and volunteered by Mozilla Club and Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC) on 22nd Feb’2020. The Workshop is aimed at teaching the basic concepts to the students of all branches of Engineering.
The Workshop was an introduction to topics like Office Tools, Effective types of Presentations, Tools and Skills, GitHub, VR/AR and Python Basics. The session was taken up by Ms. Basavarajeshwari Ambi, Captain, Mozilla Club and a student of third Year Information Science & Engineering. All the topics were covered in brief. Around 50 students attended this Workshop.
The Club will continue the same topics in depth during 24th to 28th Feb’2020.

Sahyadri initiates Water Bell Programme at Adyar Padau Govt. Primary School

Under the banner of Unnat Bharath Abhiyan, Sahyadri conducted Awareness about the benefits of drinking water. The programme started with a formal function.
Free Water bottles were distributed to all students. Videos about the importance of drinking water were shown and fun learning activities were conducted to create awareness to the students.
Dr. Srinivasa Rao Kunte, Principal addressed the students and encouraged them to inculcate the habit of drinking water every day. Dr. Rajesha, Dean –Academics interacted with the students and explained how water can help students stay fit.
The Headmistress and Staff of the school appreciated this initiative and thanked Sahyadri Management.

Dr. Rathishchandra Gatti, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering and Ms. Mamatha, Research Assistant, Dept. of Research co-ordinated the programme .

Campus Recruitment Drive - Jaro Education

Jaro Education conducted a Pool Campus Recruitment Drive on 22nd Feb’2020 for the BE/ B.Tech students of all branches and also MBA students of 2020 outgoing batch. The process began with a Pre-placement Talk followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
Over 175 students from pool colleges were part of the Recruitment Drive. The results are yet to be declared.
