Chairman holds Interactive Sessions with Parents of New Entrants to the Engineering Stream through Management and CET

Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman extended a warm welcome to the parents. He initiated his talk by highlighting about the gap existing between corporate requirements and academic curriculum. There is a difference between PU & Engineering student’s thought process which has to be improvised for making them ready to introspect & perform as a Real Engineers. In today’s scenarios, corporates place high preference for the candidates possessing multi-disciplinary skills. To build this skill, Institute provides various opportunities which are in form of Hands- on training, Internship, Industry Connect Program and Initiative like Social Innovation program have reaped the fruits and how it has shaped students to think product centric.
He reiterated the fact about how Corporate’s expects good exposure, Attitude, Analytical & Technical knowledge from candidates. Also, recently even AICTE has placed importance on Industry Academia Training.

Placement and Training - Internship at IBM

Mr. Lanlyn Samuel D'Souza, final year student from the Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engg has been selected as an Intern in IBM for SW Client Facing Support Engineer tech role. The duration is of 6 weeks with a monthly stipend of Rs. 30k/month.
Mr. Lanlyn would be working with open-minded professionals who are passionate about designing and building solutions to help clients become smarter, faster and more innovative. At IBM, he would be a part of a diverse team with new people from different cultures to tackle challenges from a fresh perspective.
