Raksha Bhaskar Shetty with 76.67% has topped the Sahyadri College in the Computer Science & Engineering, Semester VII Examination of 2013-14 held by VTU. Jolene Melita Saldanha obtained the second position in the college with 76.33% while Prathiksha P. with 76% stands third, bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 85.7%.

 Ms. Shwetha K., Librarian, Department of Central Library, has presented a paper titled, “Role of Librarians in Building Institutional Repositories”, in the National Level Conference on "Democratization of Information Using ICT: Role of Libraries for Social Enlightenment", organized by Department of Library and Information Science, Mangalore University, Mangalore.

He received his B.Tech degree from Gautam Buddh Technical University, U.P, and post-graduation M.Tech in Microelectronics from IIIT-Allahabad. His area of specialization is Microelectronics.
