Republic Day Celebration in Sahyadri Campus.
The 66th Republic Day was celebrated in Sahyadri Campus.
Mr. Vasudev Kamath, Associate Vice President, Unit Risk Manager Infosys Limited hoisted the flag. He is been with Infosys for nearly 19 years, worked for Marquee clients based in US and responsible for risks arising from projects being delivered for nearly 50% of Infosys revenue. He has done his B.Tech in Civil from REC Calicut.
In his address he called upon the staff members to inspire the students to achieve success by quoting the example of Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft.
He also emphasized that the students should be problem finders instead of just problem solvers.
Dr.Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman and Dr.U.M.Bhushi, Principal were also present on the occasion. Dr.Savitha M.B, HOD Department of Chemistry mastered the ceremony.
On the eve of Republic Day, Staff Sports day was organized by the Department of Physical Education. Prof. Umashankar, Dean Acadamic and Prof. Sudheer Shetty HOD, Computer Science and Engineering gave away the prizes for the winners of the various events.

Valedictory of workshop on ''Self Esteem & Work ethics
A two day workshop on ''Self Esteem & Work ethics" for the faculty came to an end emphasizing the 7 habits of effective people , the four level of leadership ,characteristics of good work ethics & building a strong work ethics to enhance the organizational culture. Dr. U.M Bhushi, Principal & Prof. Umashankar, Dean Academic were present for the valedictory. The participants gave their feedback on the workshop.

Mr.Rahul Kharge visits Sahyadri
Mr. Rahul Kharge, son of Sri. Mallikarjun Kharge, former Minister of Railways and a well wisher of Sahyadri visited the campus along with his family.
He completed his research from Indian Institute of Science and cleared the UPSC exam and was selected for Indian Revenue service, after the completion of training he resigned from the service as he was not convenient with the job. Currently he is an advisor for IT companies.
He and his wife Arundhati Kharge, an Electrical Engineer from BMS appreciated the ambience and infrastructure of the college.
VTU Semester V B. E. Results
The VTU results of Semester V of all Engineering streams are declared. Out of 519 students who appeared for the VTU Examination 2014-15, 79 students passed with distinction and 165 with a first class.
