Civil Engineering Students Visit HydroPower Plant
Students of Semester VI, Department of Civil Engineering along with faculty members visited the Varahi hydropower plant at Hosangadi and interacted with the engineers. The students witnessed the power generation process and the components involved in it and gained practical knowledge.

Faculty Development Program on “Research Methodology”
The Department of Business Administration, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management in collaboration with Mangalore University organized a one-day Faculty Development Program on Research Methodology in the campus. Sixty-five undergraduate college teachers participated in the program.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. P. S. Yadapadithaya, Professor, Department of Commerce, Mangalore University. The chief guest conveyed his happiness over the conduct of the program as it is a byproduct of the MOU signed between Mangalore University and Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. He praised the visionary Mr Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management for his astute passion towards development of research. Dr. A. P. Achar, Director, Department of Business Administration welcomed the gathering and gave a bird’s eye view of the program to the audience. The program was presided over by Dr. Umesh M Bhushi, Principal, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management. Dr. Vishal Samartha, Chief Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
Dr. P. S. Yadapadithaya, Professor, Department of Commerce, Mangalore University spoke on research design, research problem definition, formulation of objectives and hypothesis and Dr. Raveendranath Nayak, Director, School of Management, Manipal University gave an insight on review of literature and finding research.
