Chairman participates in Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019

Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Chairman Mr. Manjunath Bhandary along with his spouse Ms. Prasanna Bhandary participated in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2019. They had the opportunity to meet the achievers who were the ambassadors of the Marathon - Mary Kom, the only woman to become World Amateur Boxing champion for a record six times, and the only woman boxer to have won a medal in each one of the seven world championships; Ravija Singal, the youngest Asian woman to win the Iron Man title and Poorna Malavath aged 13 years, the youngest Indian and the youngest girl in the world to have reached the summit of Everest.

Tata Mumbai Marathon is an IAAF Gold label race and amongst the top 10 marathons in the world and has truly put India on the global map of distance running. The event is not only the biggest participative sport in the country, but also the single largest fund-raising platform for Civil Society Organisations. Since its inception, the event has raised in excess of INR 266 crores benefitting over 700 NGOs, supporting myriad causes and helping millions in our society, live a #BetterTommorow.

Civil Engineering Alumnus gets an opportunity to pursue MS in Coventry University, UK

MBAs visit HMT Limited, Kalamassery Unit, Kerala Mohammad Fahad Ullal, an alumnus of Civil Engineering (Batch 2014-2018) gets an opportunity to pursue MS in Structural Engineering in the prestigious Coventry University, Coventry, U.K.

Coventry University is a public research university in Coventry. Its four faculties, which are made up of schools and departments, run around 300 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Across the university there are 11 research centres which specialize in different fields, from transport to peace studies. With more than 29,000 students in 2017, Coventry University is the larger of the two universities in the city – the other being the University of Warwick – and the fastest growing university in the UK. Department of Civil Engineering congratulates his outstanding achievement.

The Papers were titled - 'Women Entrepreneurship' and 'Challenges of IPR in India'.

Three-Day FDP on Aptitude and Soft Skill organized for the Placement and first year Faculty Members

Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Mr. Ramaparasad, H C Head operation of 10 seconds headed the training session. Ramaprasad's 13 year wide experience in the training industry is truly appreciative. He treated the faculty members immensely and enlightened them about the necessity of being aware of day to day up-gradation taking place and how far the students should be educated about the latest technologies.

The session was taken forward by Mr. Rishi Ranjan. He advised the effective ways of solving the equation on probability and statistics. He delivered few tricks that could be used to solve the Aptitude problems effectively.

Ms. Kawskar Jahan addressed the faculties. She emphasized on the significance of Soft Skills that could be utilized during the courses of winning a job and flourishing in the career aspect. The session concluded with an activity on team building.

Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Smartlink Network Systems Ltd Mr. Ankith S Kumar, Student Counsellor was invited by Government First Grade College, Sullia to conduct a workshop for their 200 B.Com students on the topic "Essential Skills for Professional Efficiency”. He trained the students in written communication skills, negotiation skills and skills required to survive in the global job market.

Prof. Navyashree B R is with Sahyadri since the last 2.5years. She did her diploma in Civil Engineering from Vivekananda Polytechnic, B.E in Civil engineering from Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology and M.Tech from The Oxford College of Engineering, Bengaluru with the specialization of Structural Engineering. She owns the life time membership of Indian Society of Technical Education.
Introduction of the Mentees:
• Amith V Badikana is from Sullia. He did his schooling from St. Aloysius High School and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College. Amith has won state level places in face painting and nail art. He is a very good keyboard player, interested in photography, cinematography and drawing. His aspiration is to get into one of the best civil company.
• Amogh B P is from Udupi. He did his schooling from Pushpa English Medium School, Periyapatna, Mysore, and PUC from Vivekananda PU College, Puttur. Amogh has participated in district level ball badminton when he was in 12th. After completing his engineering he wants to get into one of the best civil companies.
• Harshakumar K from Kasaragod, Kerala has done his schooling and PUC from BEMHSS, Kasaragod. He wants to be a good engineer and innovate something new.
• Krithika P N from Subrahmanya has done her schooling in Kumaraswamy Vidhyalaya, Subrahmanya and PUC from K.V.G Amarajyothi Vidhyalaya, Sullia. Her aspiration is to be a Government officer and intends to make developments in the field of infrastructure.
• Muhammed Shunaif from Surathkal, did his schooling from NITK and PUC from St. Aloysius PU College. Muhammed Shunaif participated in line follower event in NITK Surathkal and secured 4th place. He was awarded as the best outgoing Athlete in school. His aspiration is to build his own construction and consultancy company.
• Vikram Chowta is from Kulshekar, Mangaluru. He did his schooling from St. Joseph English Medium High School, Kulshekar and PUC from Sharada PU College. His aspiration is to become an entrepreneur. He desires to work in a reputed, successful civil engineering company.
• Priyanka Neelam is from Koppala. She did her schooling from Vivekananda public school, Gangavathi, PUC from Thimmangoudar Academics Prism P U Science College, Dharwad. Priyanka participated in line follower and robo-race events in IIT Patna and secured first place. She got third place for peizo-circuit model in prototype project competition. She is a district level player and secured many awards in various sports events. Her aspiration is to build her career in Government sector.
