Under the able Guidance of Director- Strategic Planning, a Doctoral Student and Faculty at Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot defends his Doctoral Thesis

Mr. Shreeshail M. Pharsiyawar, a Doctoral Student of Dr. Umesh Bhushi, Director- Strategic Planning successfully defended his Doctoral Thesis on “Productivity Management of Apparel Industry in India-A System’s Perspective”.

The Viva Voce was conducted by External Examiner Dr. S P Sarmah, Head of the Dept of Industrial Engineering and Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur on 3rd January 2020.

Dr. Pharsiyavar an Associate Professor at Basaveshwar Engineering College, Bagalkot is the fifth Doctoral student of Dr. Umesh Bhushi. His other areas of doctoral research include Strategic Governance of Technical Universities, Productivity Improvement of Sugar Industries, Quality Cost Analysis in Automotive sectors, and Medical Equipments.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has presented A Research Article at the 25th National and 3rd International ISHMT-ASTFE Heat and Mass Transfer Conference (IHMTC-2019) held at IIT, Roorkee, Uttarakhand

Prof. Shankara Murthy H M, of the Dept of Mechanical Engineering, has presented a Research Paper entitled “Investigations on Heat Transfer and Friction Factor Characteristics of Graphene Oxide/Water through A Heat Exchanger with Turbulator Propeller Insert” at the 25th National and 3rd International ISHMT-ASTFE Heat and Mass Transfer Conference (IHMTC-2019) held at the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, Uttarakhand, during 28th to 31st Dec’19.

The conference was organised by the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, IIT Roorkee under the auspices of Indian Society of Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT) and was co-sponsored by American Society of Thermal and Fluids Engineers (ASTFE) and International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer (ICHMT).

Prof. Megha Rani R obtained her B.E degree from Mangalore Institute of Technology and Engineering, Moodbidri and M.Tech degree from Srinivas Institute of Technology, Valachil, Mangaluru. She has published articles in international journals. She has also presented a Paper entitled “Incentives and Trustworthy Routing Protocols for Heterogeneous Multihop Hop Wireless Network” at the International Conference held at City Engineering College, Bengaluru.

• Apeksha K is from Bantwal. She pursued her schooling from Sacred Heart School and PUC from Sacred Heart PU College, Madanthyar. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing chess and reading books. Her aspiration is to become a software developer.

• K Sriram Shenoy is from Mangaluru. He pursued his schooling from Chinmaya Vidyanilaya and PUC from Sharada Vidayalaya, Mangaluru. His aspiration is to become a software developer and his dream company is Oracle.

• Reshma G Devadiga is from Bhatkal. She pursued her schooling from SDPHS and PUC from Siddharth PU College, Bhatkal. Her hobbies include singing and reading. Her aspiration is to become a software developer in ISRO.
