Induction Programme for Newly Joined Faculty Members – Day Four

Dr. Vishal Samartha, Director, MBA addressed the newly joined faculty members about “HR Policies of the Institute”. In her address, she spoke about the various rules & regulations, code of conduct & general etiquettes to be adhered by the faculty members and privileged facilities provided in the interest of the faculty members. Dr. Samartha also spoke about the various challenges, which a newly joined faculty could probably face and also shared her experience in the teaching profession with a view to motivate the young faculty members. The session mainly highlighted about Qualities that a good teacher should possess in the best interest of their fellow students.
The second session was on “Importance of Autonomous Status for the Institute” addressed by Dr. Ravichandra K R, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Dept & Dean-Industry Connect. He highlighted about the Criteria for Autonomy status, necessary documentation & process involved for the same. He also spoke about various process that Sahyadri is preparing for towards attaining Autonomous.
