Director (R&D, Consultancy) nominated by AICTE & MOE, GOI as the Evaluator for Toycathon 2021

manjappa Dr. Majappa Sarathy, Director (R&D, Consultancy) has been nominated as one of the Evaluators by AICTE and Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi for Toycathon 2021, a Hackathon to crowd source innovative ideas for the Toys and Games. Dr. Manjappa will be going through a series of training sessions on evaluation guidelines for Toycathon 2021. Toycathon 2021 is organized by the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education with support of AICTE, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
This is a novel opportunity for students to propose toys and games that will greatly help India develop into a global hub for toys and games and assist children to understand the ethos and values of Indian culture as envisaged in the National Education Policy 2020.

Social Innovation Program - First year Engineering

As a part of the Social Innovation Program for First year engineering, sessions were conducted on Sustainable Development Goals to give an insight about social problems all around the world. Students were asked to present a Mind Map of their daily meal on topic SDG's on my plate through digital platform.

• Team 10 of Section G - Nurain K K, Rachana Shenoy M, Avish Sushanth Pereira, Arjun Yeshpal Singh, Srinidhi, Jaideep K N
Both the teams were awarded with best presentation Certificate to appreciate their efforts and creativity.

ISE Faculty Certified through NPTEL

nptel Prof. Ganaraj K and Prof. Jayapadmini Kanchan from the Dept. of Information Science & Engineering successfully completed NPTEL Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “The Joy of Computing - Using Python” with Elite certification. The course was offered by IIT Ropar.

Induction program for the Newly joined faculty - Day 6

The newly joined faculties had a session on 'Placements Process' at Sahyadri by Mrs Rashmi Bhandary, Dean Placement and Training followed by Dr. Anush Bekal.
In the first session, Mrs. Rashmi Bhandary briefed about the role of Placement Department in enriching students life. She further addressed the newly joined faculties about their vital role in being a good teacher. She emphasized about the importance of Engineering Fundamentals in cracking Higher package jobs. Further, there was a brainstorming session wherein she cleared doubts regarding the placements and training process. She further motivated the faculties about the importance of technical skills in the shaping the career of a student in the present world. The various companies visiting the college and their requirements was also spoken about.
The second session was by Dr. Anush Bekal, Associate Professor and Vice-President of Sahyadri Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) addressed the faculty members on the working and activities undertaken by IIC. He explained the importance of Projects in the overall growth of Institution. He emphasized that Teaching Learning Process should be in line with the Vision and Mission of the Institute and role of innovation in fulfilling the vision of the institute. He motivated the newly joined faculty members to work with their mentees to contest for National Innovation Contest conducted by Ministry of Education Innovation Cell and how this can bring value addition to their personal profile and to the college.
