Director-Research & Consultancy conferred NESA HONORARY FELLOWSHIP AWARD-2020

Dr. S. Manjappa Sarathi, Director Research and Consultancy, has been awarded prestigious NESA HONORARY FELLOWSHIP AWARD-2020. The Award Committee of NESA-2020 has decided unanimously to confer the award for his dedicated contributions in the field of Water and Waste Management, Treatment and Recycling, Air and Water Quality Modeling, Mentoring and Environmental Studies. The award will be presented during the NESA Annual Conference entitled “Techno- Scientific Challenges And Sustainable Solutions For Living Beings During Changing Environment – (TSCSSP-2021)”, scheduled to be held virtually during January 29 to 30, 2021 at ICAR - Indian Agricultural Research institute, Pusa, New Delhi.

Training and Placement - Infosys Winternship 2020-21

Infosys is offering an Internship Opportunity for the students selected for Systems Engineer, SE role. Winternship is Infosys’s holistic training and internship program designed to facilitate learning among our selected candidates. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Winternship will be an exciting mix of self-study, virtual training, and online evaluation. During the internship, there will be virtual training sessions followed by online tests to evaluate students’ performance. The program will also allow students to work on a project, which is a curriculum requirement, and receive guidance from project managers at Infosys. Besides that, students will receive basic training to manage the project's complexities.

Duration: 13 - 15 weeks

Day Two of Induction Programme for MBA Batch 2020

Mr. Tejaswi Shankar, an International Magician facilitated a session on “Illusion in Everyday life”. He emphasized on how illusion affects the functioning of everyday life. He said our earlier perceptions are conditioned and impact the decision of how we see the things in future. He also spoke about Optical Illusion – how eyes get tricked to believe in something. Power of Influence was another topic he threw light on. He conducted an activity which showed that we miss out on the big picture when we focus on one single point.
Dr. Shwetha, a Psychologist spoke on “Mental Health”. She spoke about mental health hygiene and brought out the essence of minimum stress to bring out the best in us. She also mentioned about the common mental health issues faced by the students. She advised the students to develop a Time Table so that brain functions as per the schedule.
Ms. Sapna Shenoy, an Investment Services Professional, facilitated a session on “Money Management”. She briefed about the Indian Economy and how Mutual fund works along with the operations of Stock Market. She concluded by saying that the value of money increases when time passes by.

Dr. A Krishna Sudheer, Dept. of Business Administration-MBA, was invited as a Resource Person for a Webinar on “Personality Development and Goal Setting organized by Dept. of Management Studies, A unit of Chadalawada Ramanamma Engineering College, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh on January 5, 2021.
Dr. Krishna Sudheer spoke about building capacities, nurturing talent, enhancing new skill-sets, working on weaknesses and transforming them into strengths.
