A very warm welcome to Dr. C. Ranganathaiah who has joined Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management as Director of Research. Dr. C. Ranganathaiah, retired Professor of Department of Studies in Physics from University of Mysore, is a Post-Doctorate from University of Western Australia, Australia. He has vast and diversified research experience having worked in NASA-NRC as Sr. Res. Associate, LaRC, Virginia, USA, a fellow of Indo- Hungarian Exchange, and Visiting Scientist, CNRS, IReS, Strasbourg, France. He has guided eighteen Ph.D. students, with more than 262 Research papers in International and National Journals. He has authored books published by Brill Publishers (2009), Netherlands and Wiley publishers (2014), USA. With his work he has brought funds over Rupees 2.3 Crores to the University of Mysore from DST, DAE-BRNS, UGC and NSC, Govt. of India. He is the member of the Core Committee which brought Rupees 60 Crores from UGC under PE/CPEPA. He is serving as an Expert Referee to more than twenty-three International
Research Journals like Polymer International (UK), Polymer Degradation and Stability (UK) (Elsevier), European Polymer Journal, Journal of Applied Polymer Science (USA) (Springer), and Polymer composites (Elsevier), POLYMER (Elsevier).
It is an ardent wish that all the staff and students with the help of his vast experience, knowledge and wisdom grow more professional. He will guide projects, groom research acumen and facilitate to write good project proposals and papers.
