He obtained his B.E. degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management and M.Tech. in Digital Electronics & Communication Systems from St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangalore. His area of specialization is Digital Electronics & Communication Systems.
Chief Guest for Student Council Inauguration at Ganapathi College, Mangalore
 Dr. Vishal Samartha, Professor, Department of Business Administration was invited as the Chief Guest for the Student Council inauguration at Ganapathi College, Mangalore. The student council members took their oath and were felicitated. In her inaugural address she appreciated the efforts of the management, the principal and the faculty. The students were stimulated to exhibit positive attitude, be self- motivated and grab the opportunity which comes their way. It was assured that MBA students of Sahyadri shall frequently interact and help in grooming the students of Ganapathi College.

Paurav P. Shetty with 83.33% has topped the Sahyadri College in the Semester VIII Mechanical Engineering Examination of 2014-15 held by VTU. Gladson Vinay Barboza obtained the second position in the college with 83.07% while Roshan Rai M. with 82.40% stands third. One hundred and forty two students took the examination with eighty-five students securing a distinction, forty-three students a first class and three students a second class bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 92.25%.
