He obtained a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Karnataka Polytechnic, Mangalore, a B.E. degree from Malnad College of Engineering and an M.Tech. in Structural Engineering from B.V.B. College of Engineering, Hubli. His area of specialization is Structural Engineering.

Sahyadri Assigned as Third Party Consultant for Construction Work in Bantwal
The Department of Civil Engineering was assigned as third party consultant for all Government related construction works which will be taking place in Bantwal Taluk. Er Narendra Babu, AEE, PRCD Sub Division, Bantwal visited Sahyadri and had an interaction with Dr U M Bhushi, Principal and Prof Umesh S S, PG HOD, Civil Department in this regard.
