Day Five of Bridge Course for Engineering Students 2017 Batch
As per the schedule planned in advance, the Day Five started with Mathematics Class followed by a session from Mr. Johnson Tellis based on personality and confidence development. Post this, a session was held on basics of programming languages and writing a code efficiently. In the afternoon, a Hands-On training was facilitated on Onshape and also on designing new objects.

Mr. Santhosh has joined the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering as an Assistant Professor. He has completed his B.E in Electronics & Communication Engineering from NMAMIT, Nitte & M. Tech in Digital Electronics and Communication from St. Joseph Engineering College, Mangaluru. His area of specialization is Digital Electronics and Communication.
Ms. Spoorthi Pakkala has joined the Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering as an Assistant Professor. She has completed her B.E in Electronics & Communication Engineering from P.A. College of Engineering, Mangaluru & M. Tech in VLSI and Embedded System Design from Manipal University, Manipal. Her area of specialization is VLSI and Embedded System Design.

Three-Day Faculty Development Programme (FDP)
Day One of Faculty Development Programme focussed on the topic – “Self Awareness”. The sessions held were Activity and Demonstration based. Participants had immense learning on VAKOG Model, Communication and Body Language. More than 50 faculty members attended the workshop.
Day Two would include sessions on Understanding Adolescence and Basic Counselling skills.
Business Today - MDRA executive visits Sahyadri MBA for Physical Verification of B-Schools ranking survey
Mr. Abhishek Agrawal, Executive Director of Marketing & Development Research Associates (MDRA), an agency partner for research of "Business Today - MDRA Best B-Schools ranking 2017" visited the campus for physical verification of the objective data submitted by the department for participating in the B-Schools ranking survey. He appreciated the department for having all documents maintained intact and had words of praise after visiting the incubation centre in the campus.
