Bhandary Foundation Recognized as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by DST, Govt. Of India
Bhandary Foundation is recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research Organization under Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India as Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) based on Industrial research programmes conducted in its constituents college Viz: Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management, Mangaluru and all other developments in the Institution. The department has observed the infrastructure facilities provided, work undertaken and the vision of the foundation.
The scientific and Industry-oriented activities, research-oriented teaching & training programmes, projects undertaken with the financial assistance from various Govt. agencies like DST/AICTE/DRDO/VGST and other industries, Patents filed by the Institution, industrial & entrepreneurial activities organized are the various milestones that brought this recognition to the institute.
Bhandary Foundation, founded during the year 2002, in a short span of time has emerged as an enterprising entity in the field of education and social activities. Mr. Manjunath Bhandary Chairman's novel thoughts added a new dimension to the world of education.
MBA Student gets paid internship at Sproxil India, Mumbai
Ms. Suhasini Shankar Billava from 2nd year MBA has obtained paid internship with a stipend of Rs 10,000 per month at Sproxil India, Mumbai. She is recruited as Business Development Intern. She would be working for revenue generation in key segments including FMCG, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceuticals, and Agri-business.
Sproxil uses mobile technology to combat counterfeiting and increase brand equity with innovative, consumer-focused product protection and targeted marketing solutions. Sproxil has started in 2009 to empower consumers to help combat drug counterfeiting with a simple text message. They have operations in eight countries across three continents. New entrants to the Academic year 2019-20 attend Outbound Experiential Education Workshop at Ankola
A total of 105 new entrants attended a Five-Day Outbound Experiential Workshop “Understanding Me”, organized by Nature Bound Sahyadri at Ankola during 8th July to 12th July, 2019. The event was a part of the extended Bridge Course for the students. The workshop focused on experiential learning module to reveal the students strengths and shortfalls, how to overcome these deficits and focus on developing character suitable for accepting responsibility, develop concern, courage, and positive attitude.
It also sensitizes the participants to be goal oriented and teaches them the importance of resources. The students had a unique life changing experience. They were accompanied by Ms. Rashmitha Girish Nishal, Student Welfare Officer; Prof. Supreeth Prabhu, Dept. of Civil Engineering; Prof. Deepthi K M, Dept. of Mathematics and Prof. Adesh Padival, Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.
