Introducing last 3 speakers of TEDxSCEM 2019

A few more days to go for the long awaited event TEDxSCEM 2019!
Life is not always easy. But choosing the high way made them reach greater heights. Their lives exemplify the fact that true happiness and fulfillment only comes from not living to get but living to give. Today we introduce the last 3 of the 9 inspirational speakers scheduled to speak at TEDxSCEM, the greatest event to be held at Sahyadri on 28th July 2019.

Introduction of speakers of TEDxSCEM 2019 Swami Ekagamyanandaji
Swami Ekagamyanandaji is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order. He received his Sannyasa from the most Revered Swami Atmasthanandaji Maharaj in 2016. Having taken to the path of renunciation, he has been serving in the Mangalore Ashrama for the past 12 years.

Swami Ekagamyanandaji has been instrumental in the success of various initiatives of Ramakrishna Math, Mangalore such as Swacch Mangaluru for Swacch Bharath Abhiyan. His able guidance and leadership in steering the noble venture forward has met with tremendous success in terms of active public participation and has drawn volunteers in huge numbers. He has also worked in Ramakrishna Mission, Belgaum under Swami Purushothamanandaji for a few years.

Introduction of speakers of TEDxSCEM 2019 Karishma Arora
The All India CBSE Humanities Topper (2018-2019), Ms. Karishma Arora is a talented youngster who is an inspiration to many budding minds of our nation. Along with academics, Ms. Arora also stands out as a trained Kathak dancer. At a very early age of 18, she has managed to bag various awards such as The Women's Achievers Award, 2019 (Education, Times Group) and Late Shri Lakshman Singh Kothari Memorial Award, 2019, to name a few. She has also had the honor of being felicitated by the Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development, Government of India, at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

Introduction of speakers of TEDxSCEM 2019 Ankit Kumar
Mr Ankith S. Kumar is a Behavioral Scientist, Psycho-Social Support Counsellor, Life Skills Coach and Personality Development Trainer. He is a certified Hypnotist and Neuro- Linguistic Programme Practitioner, a certified Yoga Therapist and also a Level 1 Pranic Healer, a certified First Aid Medic (Certified by Indian Red Cross and St John’s Ambulance). He is also trained in Forensic Science. He does have a flair for Astrology and Paranormal Investigation too. He has 4 years of teaching experience in Behavioural Sciences as well as Psychiatric & Medical Social Work.

Mr. Ankith has conducted over 200 training programs on life skills and personality development for educational, healthcare, industrial and public institutions. He is also a Life Member of Indian Society of Professional Social Workers (ISPSW).

Sahyadri bids farewell to Shri Maheshathmananda Maharaj Swamiji of RIMSE, Mysore Sahyadri bids farewell to Shri Maheshathmananda Maharaj Swamiji of RIMSE, Mysore A farewell function was organised on 24th July 2019 by Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE), Mysore for Shri Maheshathmananda Maharaj Swamji, who served as the Correspondent of RIMSE, Mysore. Sahyadri College is deeply indebted to the Swamiji for his contribution in building a fruitful collaboration between RIMSE and Sahyadri.

Team Sahyadri comprising of Dr. Rajesha, Dean – Academics; Prof. Ravichandra, Dean – Industry Connect & HoD - Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Prof. Sudheer Shetty, Dean - Examination visited RIMSE, Mysore. They felicitated the Swamiji and wished him lots of success and happiness.

Shri Maheshathmanandaji will be taking charge of Ramakrishna Math at Goa.

Department of Electronics & Communication organizes a Five-Day short term course

Department of Electronics & Communication organizes a Five-Day short term courseDepartment of Electronics & Communication organizes a Five-Day short term course A Five-Day Short Term Course on “System Verilog & UVM” commenced on 23rd July 2019 for the final and pre final year students of Electronics and Communication Engineering. Dr. Ashwath Rao, Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, gave an overview of the short term course and various job opportunities available in the field of VLSI design. Mr. Harish K.S. and Mr. Kedharnath V., Application Engineer - Entuple Technologies, Bengaluru, deliberated the sessions.

The morning session was facilitated by Mr. Kedarnath and Mr. Harish. During the session, various design criteria for developing circuit, different tools used in VLSI, various data types, modeling styles used in Verilog and circuit synthesis were covered.

The afternoon session started with Verilog test bench, verifying top level models using test bench programme, placement and routing of digital circuits.

MBA Faculty invited as a resource person by Srinivas University

MBA Faculty invited as a resource person by Srinivas UniversityMBA Faculty invited as a resource person by Srinivas University Dr. Azhar Shaikh, Associate Professor, Dept. of Business Administration was invited as a resource person to deliver a special lecture for the BBA under graduate students of Srinivas University, Mangaluru on Saturday, 20th July 2017.

During the session Dr. Shaikh shed light on the concept of consumer resistance to innovative products. He highlighted the importance of understanding the consumer behaviour before introducing an innovative product globally. He further related the concept with international business and the barriers for innovation adoption.
