CSE Dept. Conducts Workshop on Paper Writing and LaTeX for Final Year Engineering Students

On July 20th, 2021, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering conducted a Workshop on Paper Writing and LaTeX for Final Year Engineering students. First half of the workshop was an Exposure to Paper Writing. The Convener - Dr. Shreyas Suresh Rao, Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering highlighted on the mechanism to write conference papers and Journal papers, different sections of the paper, About Potential publishers and also differentiated between Conference papers and Journal papers.
During the second half, Dr. Pushpalatha K, Head and Associate Professor, Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering gave a demo session on the Working of LaTeX. Initially, she explained about the necessity of using LaTeX. Later, she included difference between LaTeX and MS-Word, obtaining LaTeX, Online LaTeX Editors, LaTeX Process, and LaTeX Documentation. At the end of both sessions, students queries were resolved.
