Symposium on "Pathway to Excellence in HR" organized by Dept. of Business Administration-MBA

The MBAs were addressed by HR Professionals during the first half, on 5th June'2020.
The first session facilitated by Mr. LoysonPaes, Senior Learning Partner at Danske IT, threw light on the various HR functions and specialized functions in HR. He encouraged students to take up MBTI Assessment, understand the personality type and then choose their specialization accordingly. He also shared the Myths of HR Profession and clarified the real HR. In the concluding remarks, he mentioned that an MBA degree is the biggest armed weapon; however students should acquire additional skills through certifications for a rewarding career.
The next session was facilitated by Mr. Ben Subbarao, HR Head at Grassroots BPO Pvt Ltd. He shared around 10 Sutras for students aspiring to be future HR's, focusing on 2 main components – Analytically driven skills and Skills to Advise stakeholders.
Finally, Ms. ShivaniRai, Asst. Manager at HDFC Ltd, Bengaluru, who is an Alumna of Sahyadri MBA (2016-2018 Batch) addressed the students and shared how she transformed to be an HR and take up Operations Role. She emphasized on the importance of grooming self during the course of the study by taking up projects with utmost commitment and Certification courses which adds to the profile.

Glorious Bharat Part 1 and Glorious Bharat Part 2 is a humble attempt by DrAnanthPrabhu G, Professor, Dept of Computer Science & Engineering to bring out these facts and expose them to the youth of today. The books are brought out with a strong belief that the richness of our heritage, culture, monuments, dialects and other artifacts must be passed through generations to come. Each book comprises of 111 topics with the tag line, 111 more reasons to say 'Mera Bharat Mahaan'.
