Principal’s Doctoral Candidate Successfully Defends his Thesis
 
Dr. Umesh M. Bhushi’s doctoral candidate Prof. Mahesh Bhagwat, on June 18, 2014 successfully defended his Ph.D Thesis titled “A ROADMAP FROM ISO TO SIX SIGMA TRANSFORMATION BY USE OF RELATED SOFT TECHNOLOGIES: A CASE OF MEDICAL EQUIPMENT INDUSTRY”, under Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. He has published four international journal articles and six international and national conference papers in the course of completing his thesis during the period 2010-2014. Of the eight candidates registered under the guidance of Dr. Bhushi, Prof. Mahesh Bhagwat is the third candidate to obtain a Ph. D.
Prof. Mahesh Bhagwat is HOD of Mechanical Engineering, Rajendra Mane College of Engineering, Ambav, Maharashtra, where Dr. Umesh M. Bhushi began his tenure as Principal from 2007-2010.

Staff Member Conferred with Swabhiman Award 2014
 Mr. Jagadish Poojary, staff member and trainer at Sahyadri multi-gymnasium was conferred the Swabhiman Award 2014 by Daijiworld on their fifth anniversary celebrations at Town Hall, Mangalore. The award was conferred on him by the former Lokayukta Justice, Santosh Hegde. He was one among the seven from different walks of life who received the award for special achievement in society against all odds.
