Deepthi K.N. with 85.07% has topped the Sahyadri College in the Semester VIII Electronics & Communication Engineering Examination of 2013-14 held by VTU. Sindhuja A. obtained the second position in the college with 84.27% while Shankari N. with 84.13% stands third. Out of one hundred and twenty seven students who sat for the examination, eighty-nine secured a first class with distinction, thirty secured a first class and six students a second class, bringing the overall percentage score of the department to 98.40%.

Ms. Rashmi Bhandary has joined Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management as Head, Department of Placement & Placement Training. She obtained her B.Sc. degree in Micro Biology from St. Aloysius College, M.S.W. from Roshni Nilaya and M.A. (English) from Mysore University. She is a certified facilitator in HRD, Counselling and Written & Spoken English from Aim Insights, Mangalore. She has twelve years of experience in various academic institutions as Head, Training & Placement.
 Dr. Molly S. Chaudhuri has joined Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management as Head, Department of Training. She obtained her B.Com. degree from Mangalore University, post-graduation M.B.A. degree specializing in Marketing from Mangalore University, M.Phil (Management) from Alagappa University and Ph. D. in Commerce, from Mangalore University for her thesis titled “Emerging Issues in Knowledge Management – A study of Select software Companies of Karnataka State”. She is a Certified Knowledge Manager from the International Knowledge Management Institute, Washington, USA. Dr. Chaudhuri is also a Certified Learning & Development Manager from Carlton Advanced Management Institute & Middle Earth Consultants, and has also obtained a Facilitator Certification in HRD from College of Leadership and HRD, (Aim Insights), Mangalore. She has to her credit a Post Graduate Diploma in Investment Management from St. Aloysius Evening College, Mangalore and a Grade 8 Communication Skills from Trinity College, London. Dr. Chaudhuri has fifteen years academic and corporate experience.
