Day-3: Holistic View to Construction Practice
The four-day Faculty Development Programme on “Holistic View to Construction Practice” organised by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with VTU, Belagavi, saw the participants going on a technical visit to the Ultratech ready mix concrete plant and NMPT (New Mangalore Port Trust). The objective of this industrial visit was to link the theoretical and practical approaches of construction practices learning they received during the programme. Various aspects relating to design and constructions of berths were also dealt with during the technical visit.
